Gimme a moment…

Fangirls_freakout

Okay, okay, I’m good people, I am good!

It took me five watches of this movie before I calmed down enough to write coherently about it! Now, I don’t usually do boys but when I do, they best be Super and they don’t come any Super than this. No, this is the Super of Super supermen! And by the gods if this is not the super of the Super! I swear to you dear Readers that I almost touched inappropriately in the cinema the first time I watched those last moments of this movie!

There has never been such eyegasm before my eyes since the Matrix when I was but a youngling! Now take that moment that Neo did the bullet thing on the rooftop and multiply it by over 9000! That’s hoe godly the action in this movie is! God, just thinking about it makes me want to watch it again tomorrow. And why not, I am off tomorrow from work!!

The rage, the carnage, the power! Oh my God THE POWER! This Superman is the real deal people! He makes all that came before him look like a child’s imagination and a complete joke! And he was a virgin in this first movie (in matters accounted for, both real thing and fights) so just imagine a couple of sequels when he has gotten experience and picked up a couple of more powers!

*DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL*

I have never waited for a movie longer in my life than I waited for this Man of Steel movie and what a reward it was! So many things happened in this movie that just blew my somewhat hero-worshipper mind! And yet even after all these watches I still feel completely un-satisfied!

Okay, that’s it! I am so watching this again at least twice this week too while it’s still in IMAX timeline.

DAT FLYING!

I’m sorry, were the Supermen of before flying at all?! I don’t remember them flying! This right here is flying! I felt my insides jitter as Karl-El first took flight! Those power leaps at the beginning sent shocks of ecstasy through my very core and when he finally flew, all the way through Kirimanjaro valley I was like…

But then…But then….!

SHE SHOWED UP!

tumblr_inline_mlq77lQbqH1qz4rgp

And that’s how the world ended…

Sorry, I kid, I kid!

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you need an excuse to watch this movie, do it for this Super Lady (Sorry, Supergirl is a No-No) here because she made plain sushi out of the man of steel! Even her general (The one who shall not be named but must be bowed down to) was like a kid compared to her. Most times that the Man of Steel managed to hit her was because he sucker-punched her! Or hit her from behind! But even then, she always made him eat dirt!

I think all those who watched it will agree, this girl here stole the show! And with Supergirl already hinted at, if Faora was this awesome, just imagine Supergirl, who is less humaine than the Man of Steel and I think she is said to be much stronger than him too.

God, the sequel cannot come any sooner!

Oh great, here we go again waiting an eternity for another movie >.< Damn you time! Why won’t you move faster! Do it! Do it naoooooooooooo!

I really don’t think we’ve seen the last of her. She was sent to the Phantom Zone with a couple of a great deal important people to the Superman world and since they are starting the JL world, these people need to be in for things to work so I have hope.

BEST. SUPERMAN. MOVIE. EVER!

Best comic book movie for me. Not even The Dark Knight got me to go to the cinema for it these many times!

God!

Joker Game [JMovie]

♪ They are not gonna get us {Get us)…

So, I accidentally into this Kitarie movie I did not even know existed titled JOKER GAME starring Kitarie as Chinatsu, best friends with Minako (Koike Yui) and along with a huge range of other cute girls of of whom Kana (Takatsuki Sarah) stood out because she was the choice Chinatsu made of the two possible lovers. And what a cast! This whole movie was probably made up of idols all over the place. The only three I am interested in are of course our own Kitarie, Tomato n’Pine’s Yui and bump.y’s Sarah. These three are like the big three of the movie (ignoring all the guyz, who were all dismissed any way).

Joker Game as a movie is kind of like Battle Royale in a way that young generations are tested for fitness of taking Japan in the positive direction when their time comes. Well, it tries to be but it just comes off as a complete joke! I had to admit that that first elimination (poor cute Chihiro) left a great impression on me. Yoshida Madoka really did a good job there but her hard work was made a joke of as the movie progressed and we saw others go through the same thing and truths were revealed. I feel like that the movie would have been really better if those were real deaths instead of seizures! Not that I am into gore or something but finding out that they weren’t dying kind of made those scenes seem like over-acted and wasted, especially Chihiro.

I said that it was like Battle Royale but there was no weapons involved here. All they did was play a card game and a person, or Team that ends up with the Joker gets eliminated. I say eliminated only to make it sound more..impactful. Apparently all they are doing to the losers is wiping their memories and taking them for re-training into proper adults or something stupid like that!

Now, not to say there were no deaths, because there were. Some students who refused to go to class and play the stupid game got eliminated for good…from life! It was supposed to be brutal the way they died, what with the hitting them with pipes until they stopped kicking be it girls or boys, but since it was up to the observers to let us know how brutal, their acting did not do it justice nor did the security-camera view or far-away pans help in the very least. If you are going to do it, just do it. It’s not like you can’t, you are Japan for crying out loud! Going to be brutal? Be frikkin brutal!

Also we never know what exactly happens to the winners because they just…leave! As soon as they leave the classroom, they are never seen again.

And that’s the movie in the nutshell. Now to discuss the real reason of mentioning this in the first place…

hah gaey

Seriously tho, another one already?! Someone up there must really love me!

This movie it seems is based off a manga (saw some sketches) and I have a feeling it is a kind of mystery/supernatural gem of a movie. Supernatural? You so have me at your feet and begging you for mercy already!

Don’t know if I should blame the trailer for exposing a lot since this is a Moonspeak movie and thus I shouldn’t understand a thing about its plot but from I gathered, a girl transfers from the big city (Tokyo of course) to the country side and she most definitely doesn’t look happy about it, like, how all sane people would be! One girl wants to be the best friend of this transfer student from the city and one guy will develop a crush.

All the usual stuff, right? That is until THE girl (played by Seika) appears right in front of the Transfer Student (Played by Anna and the protag).

竹富聖花 Taketomi Seika

Our two heroines must be familiar with most of you because Anna has been kind of active lately in dramas and she was in that one kind of sub-texty movie – Kimi no Tomodachi. Her last drama I watched was the Code Blue wannabe titled – Resident 5Nin or something. She was accompanying none other than Naka Riisa and I kind of shipped them during the time of watching. Kinda…

Seika-chan on the other hand, also is one of the young actresses on the rise. Her last movie I watched was one we all here know of – Gal Basara, because it starred our very own Yuria-peace and Ogiso. The last drama of her I watched was yet another troubled-class/saint teacher project titled Kuro no Onna Kyoshi. Shipped her there too with someone ^^

Now these two really beautiful actresses are together in a not-so-subtexty movie together! I was almost ready to put this above Kii and Narumi’s Bushido 16 even before I have gotten a chance to watch it but then I remembered that in Bushido 16 there was no guy in the equation, well, not one relevant! The guy in this one looks really creepy and understanding the plot, or the gist of it, I have a bad feeling about that END!

Going back to the plot, Anna’s characters meets this mysterious girl who just suddenly appears before her. She gets closer to her than the other girls even the wannabe BFF but there is a very big secret surrounding this  mysterious Seika’s character.

Don’t Cry Mommy [KMovie]

돈 크라이 마미 Don’t Cry Mommy

I have seen a fare share of disturbing and emo-inducing movies in my time (Thank you Japan, Korea and France) and I thought I was at the point where nothing could move me like I have never been moved before. I mean come on, who could do worse than Noboru-D or Martyrs (2008)? I was prepared for anything cinema would send my way. Well, at least I thought I was.

Then I watched this movie!

The despair, the feels! Oh God the despair!!

If anyone ever asked me what it feels like, what it really feels like to lose the one thing most important in their life. If they asked what they would do were they to lose that one precious thing, I would but one thing and one thing only – point them to this movie!

And here is a thing. All who are into K-entertainment are very familiar with how dramatic Korea is. Knowing that, then the creators going so far as to force you to care for the characters so much in the beginning of the movie then BAM! The train of misery hits and keeps hitting until the inevitable WORST END! And all through out the course of the movie one has to put up with all the over-dramatic feels!

No seriously, Korean actors and actresses are so good that they blur the lines between great acting and over-dramacting (I don’t care if this isn’t a word, I will make it into one)! They slice and dice the most challenging of scripts like hot knife in butter and make the best written of stories come off as a comedic joke.

They are that good!

And I can’t say that it’s just from experience because the age differences don’t seem to matter!

Thinking of this and then adding in the genre/theme of this particular movie and I was in for a ride of my hellish life! It has been months since I saw this movie and it is now that I decide to write about it. Let me just say now that it’s not that I forgot about it or that it wasn’t relevant.

No!

I wasn’t ready!

I think I am now though so let’s do this. Oh by the way, there are still no subs for this movie and the ratio of my knowledge of Japanese to Korean is like 1000:1. I ain’t even bluffing! But despite this, I understood the movie because to hell with words, only 1 picture is worth 1000 of them after all.
