Vampire Academy~Blood Sisters

Some of these, if not most, seem like the kind to have a BAD END but none the less, I will be watching them when they are released on DVD or BluRay. Will probably go to see Blood Sisters in cinemas. And I am really happy to see Haruna-chan back into horror. I really loved her on POV with Shida Mirai.

Plus1 looks as dope as one would expect from English Teen movies. Selfcest? Well, beggars can’t be choosers so count me interested. Shunkan Shoujo is looking to be one of those gems I love so much. Just from the trailer I am already having ‘The Only Two Girls On Earth’ vibes from it. I only hope it’s actually as good.

Then there is Roommate. I was worried about this one because it is a remake of the Western version but then I took that thought it….A Japanese remake of  Hollywood movie? Colour me sold! I am sure this version won’t be a waste of time like the original and from what I have seen in the trailer, things look pretty promising. I mean a combination of Fukada Kyoko and Kitagawa Keiko can’t go wrong.  This movie was already WIN in my book just from that cast alone! I mean this is Fukada and Kitagawa we are talking about here people!

スクールガール・コンプレックス～放送部篇～

So, a curious comment about the release of the movie, got me to check out the official site and found out, sadly, that it only opened in theatres like, two weeks ago (17th). Which means that we have to wait until the 2nd Half of 2014 for the DVD release (hopefully BluRay too).

But I did find something worth-while, which is a longer trailer which gives us a closer look at the cast and a bit of gist of what to expect from the movie. Obviously the site has a rundown of the story but once again, I don’t read Japanese (if it’s in kanji, which it always is) so I can’t really say what the movie is about.

But from what I saw in this longer trailer, other than the traits of the book series which are really nice gay poses with focused cameras, they tried to add in some drama in there as well…

OMG! Oh! My! God!

If there is a movie I recommend people to not watch, it’s this! I was warned to not watch this movie but you know me, yuri would make me walk on fire if it came down to it and so I went and saw the damn movie ‘cause like I said…YURI!

I will never bat an eye in horror movies anymore! I have seen a lot of Korean and Japanese, JAPANESE gore movies but not a single one holds a candle to this movie!!!! Yes, I will give you a minute to soak that in! It took me years to soak that in! I got this movie in 2010 but I am only blogging about it now, why? Because I was so not ready! I am still not ready and so I am hoping to go all psychological on my mind to get back to a resemblance of normalcy by sharing this movie!

MARTYRS goes down as the No.1 most disturbing movie I have ever seen. And this list includes movies from the likes of Iguchi Noboru and Park Cha-wook! And yet! Even as it is so very very disturbing, it is also one of my favourite horror movies and movies in general too. It isn’t all about gore and horror but the film grips you so tightly, from your mind to your body to your full attention with it’s near perfection execution and legendary acting. The way it was split into two perspectives/focuses with each part focusing on either one of our girls got me all jumpy like I was on drugs or something.

This kind of perception division first OWN’d me in my favourite book ever…Sarah Waters’ FINGERSMITH when the story was told in three different perspectives, one from Sue, the other from Maud (The couples in the book) and the last one kind of joined, even though it was mostly following Sue. And so when MARTYRS pulled this trick on Lucie and Anna, I lost the sane part of my mind that was left over too.

Once again, I take this opportunity to ask you all to turn away from this movie, and if you could from this post too but I know you ain’t gonna so I will at least try to save your sanity by diluting this post to a mere 20% of what the actual movie is like and talk mostly about Lucie and Anna. But then again, I can’t discuss them without going into deeper details so please, for the love of innocence, if you are weak of hear or under 20, please, don’t read.

It is officially known to me now after all this time that, I am indeed…Korea’s ‘B’! That’s right, I cried like the ‘B’ I am at 4 in the morning while watching this movie because…Korea! It wasn’t even sad, or that dramatic like how usual Korea movies are like that reduce grown adults to their weeping knees!

No, it was the music! Yes, that’s right, Korean just reduced me to tears with mere lyrics and the power of voice! I am not even trying to comprehend it! I mean the movie in and its self would come off as boring to the general public but one just can’t help but hang in there for a chance to hear these lovely girls and boys sing!

Glee wishes they were this good!

In all seriousness, the music in this movie was just so out there. Forget not understanding a lick of Korean and subtitles aren’t really that much help when it comes to music really but I felt like I was a bornified Korean while listening to them sing! The music just hit me right in the heart leaving me bare to its jagged daggers!

Sweet pain! Especially that last performance…which thankfully is up on YT
