That’s right!
Thai yuri movie Yes or No is getting a sequel!
With a new girl appearing in the lives of the two lovers, this can’t be any better. I can already taste the fan-girling all the way to Thailand! Nothing beats rivalry when it comes to romance!
Truthfully, with the popularity of this movie and the love it’s still getting, I am surprised it’s taken them this long to bring out a sequel. I can count how many times I’ve been asked about this movie on both hand fingers!
Any way, I liked the first movie and might be discussing it since I failed to see what was so special about it that it would grab all this attention.
Maybe I missed something….Hm
Any ways,

I really enjoyed the first movie. Can’t wait for this one.
Maybe you missed something the first time. But it’s really interesting how it got lots of attention. Honestly the director of the movie herself was so surprised by it’s large fan base and support. Since they’re aren’t a lot of these kinds of movies in Thailand. And it was kinda hard for her to find the ideal girl to play Kim, so maybe that’s why it took long.

So, after reading your post I went and watched the first movie and…
I loved it.
I think what made the first movie so great was that it was a sweet love story that a person of any sexuality could enjoy. The dialogue often stressed the fact that it wasn’t as much a story about two girls that fall in love, but simply two people, if that makes sense. Pie and Kim did not fall in love with each other because the other was a girl; they fell in love with the other’s personality. In other words, the other’s physical sex was not a pre-requisite for falling in love.
Pie’s evolution from mere tolerance to full acceptance was also enjoyable.
Of course, the fact that it was a same-sex couple centered movie with a happy ending helped things too, I’m sure. In the interviews shared on youtube, the cast members often mention that during the screenings of the film women would leave the theater to go cry because the story was so similar to their own stories, though theirs did not often end happily.
That being said, I’m definitely looking forward to ‘Part 2.’
