O Lord, please have mercy on this poor lost soul! I just don’t think I can take anymore! Okay, 2012 is seriously turning out to be out of the norm if I am begging for mercy! This has to be the way the world ends…with WIN! Seriously, only half way through the year and I have seen more yuri than the last three years combined!
No, seriously, just as I was thinking Game Set and Match point to Japan, Korea goes all commando on my butt by releasing this little, okay most definitely not little, gem of a movie in As One.

Two of the biggest Guns in Korea and thus must know; Ji-Won and Bae Doo-Na come together to deliver awesome sportsmanship goodness – with overdoses of yuri for TEH ultimate WIN! The pressure to enjoy this lovely movie does not stop there though, apparently for the first time ever North and South Korean join forces on (in) this one to have complete control on everyone and force them to watch it and this movie is for everyone!
Not only has it sports, the spirit of competition and bonds (and we know everyone loves some of that goodness every now and then) but it has comedy, and most importantly, the glorious glorious YURI! Seriously hommies, leave your goggles at the door while watching this one because even the forever-in-denial-and-seeing-yuri-only-in-JAV will admit that this one is for the books and enough for the naked eye!
This is not subtext or subtitles, this is super-sized graffiti spelling the word YURI all over the screen so hard that you can’t see passed it!
At the beginning I was all for ‘KISS ALREADY DAMN YOU’ at all these eyes that Jung-Hwa and Boon-Hee were making at each other and believe me, I was satisfied by just that and was in no way expecting more but then here comes that final climax! No no no! I am not talking about the sports climax where the two take on their Chinese rivals that they lost to last Olympics, No! I am talking about the climax more relevant to us of the community – TEH YURI climax!
JUNG-HWA FUCKIN GAVE HER SPECIAL RING TO BOON-HEE WITH EYES LEAKING, CAMERAS ROLLING AND CROWD WATCHING!
Like, the scene screamed PROPORSAL like it’s nobody’s business and by the looks of things – with the two off in their own little world, it most certainly was nobody’s business by their own! That was so an engagement-ring-giving right there!
I seriously can’t fully put the emotions in that scene into sufficient words so you will have to see it yourselves and see where I am coming from. Actually I am not going to do a deep review for this one because seriously guyz, you have to see this movie! There are no subs but with all the rave this movie has picked up (apparently to my ignorance – for shame!) the subs will come flying any other day I assure you!

I so want to talk about this more in detail and I actually wrote a whooping 4000 words about in on paper but I am shredding it. It’s for your own good I tell you guyz! You have to see it! And before you frown, thinking about all the drama that comes with sportsmanship genre, let me tell you now that there is no such thing with these two main girls! Well, there is but it’s not about a frikkin guy, not about one of them going all tsun-dere because of jealousy or some shit! NOPE! it’s all just about the two of them doing yuri things that would make Ryo and Izumi look like the kids they are (Princess Nine). Also all the other characters are so very likeable as well too! Even the men are very okay this time!
I promise you guys, I promise you, this movie is one you will be hunting the internet for its DVDs. I know I am and for the love of all that’s Holy I hope it comes in BluRay too!
The yuri is even almost as balanced as the one in ‘The Only Two Girls On Earth’ but with something better….THE RING!!!

I like the expression of Ha Ji-Won on the picture in the 4th column, 5th row from the album. I think she looks hot in the for some reason.

Hi~~ I was looking for yuri movies and I found you.
THANK YOU!!! This movie is amazing! It made me cry at 4 am. Certainly one of the best korean movies I’ve ever seen! Too sad that they could never met again ;.; At least Li kept the ring. Even having to live in different places, this means something, right?

I am commenting on this just to share that I’ve watched it first without yuri goggles and thougt it was a nice movie. but rewatching it again half a year later with my acquired goggles made me saw its greatness – the friendship bet. the two, their chemistry which resulted to lots of wishful thinking. ahh, the world is indeed greater since I’ve known yuri xD
