Butterfly is a really great movie that has to be seen by just about everybody. Despite being over two hours long, time passes just like that and by the end you feel like you were cheated somehow, even though the movie perfectly tied up all ends.
I was truly impressed by the story of this movie to tell the truth. Flavia, at the events of the movie, was married and had a child. But while she seemingly lived a dream life for many women, one day she meets Yip in a superstore and all her perfectly curved life of lies comes crushing down on her as secrets from her past are revealed and chaos ensues.
I am not going to go into details but I very much recommend this movie. Only, if you’re under 13, parental guidance before watching this please.
Any way, this movie is one of the rare ones with a GOOD END. Actually it would have been BEST END but Flavia lost her child to her Husband after the divorce in order to be with Yip. Was it worth it? Flavia’s happiness at the end seemed to suggest so.
After the jump is more caps from the movie. If anyone wants an in depth looks, there is a good…

Tough call. On the one hand I admire Flavia’s determination to be with the woman she loves. On the other hand sacrificing being able to be with her child was a heavy price to pay. I’ll understand it better after watching the movie.
Asiatorrents, right?

Yep!
As for Flavia, not to spoil, but taking in the past actions towards Jin and also thinking more of her latest with the Husband, it seems like either the right punishment or best outcome.
It was either family with happiness or family without happiness.
Besides, the husband seemed very capable of looking after the child by himself and Flavia can start a new family with Yip too.

I knew there was more to the story than that. I’ll definitely give it a go. Many thanks for another cool Asian Yuri movie.

Funny that you did a review for this movie because I actually watched this movie a week ago… I was even waiting for you to make an article about it, and here it is!
My thoughts [MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T WATCHED]:
Throughout the whole movie, I’m sorry to say this… but I was only interested in the flashbacks. Flavia and Jin were soooooo cute together! ❤ I can't believe they didn't end up together in the end! Why did she have to go and be a nun?!!! -___- Arrrrghhhhhhh! D:
Lol, but other than that… I thought the movie was alright. Just what you'd expect from an Asian Yuri film.
Thanks for the review~! ^^

A lot of things stood in their way during their early days, mainly their parents so really…
Also Jin explained why she went away.

Yeah, I know… It was just really frustrating watching it. >.<
Even if they have obstacles in the way, if you love each other… love conquers all, right?
The thing that confused me about the movie is Jin's reason for turning into a nun. She said that it was because she was "unhappy" right? She even said she was also unhappy even when she was with Flavia. It just didn't make sense…
