Guess what…My wish I had on Tumblr after seeing all those Acchan/Yukirin pics from their drama HanaKimi, has come true!

My Pal, going by the name Kragorin, has gone out of their way (and genre actually) to write this lovely and rare Acchan/Yukirin fic.

I am informed there will be two or three parts to it and I can’t wait for the next one to be truthful.With Kragorin’s graces I am allowed to share this so enjoy.

Episode one – The confession

It was just an ordinary day in Japan. The sun was shining high on the sky as the summer has just started. It was a perfect weather for a picnic or even a simple walk. Yuki Kashiwagi was walking around the town on her free time. She was doing nothing in particular and just wanted to kill some time before the promised dinner with some friends. She was just enjoying the view of the busy city when she got a message on her phone from someone.

“Are you free today? There’s something I want to talk about if you don’t mind.”

Yukirin was surprised because of the sender of the message. It was not the girl she used to talk with frequently. This time it was a different member from the group. It was no other than the ‘face’ of AKB48 Atsuko Maeda herself. Kashiwagi was wondering what this is all about when she was reading through the message once again. There was a question in her head while she was typing the answer.

“Why Acchan? I wonder what happened to her. She never asked me out like this before.”

The reply arrived soon and Yuki raised her eyebrows as she read it.

“Good. Then how about a lunch? Are you hungry?”

Yukirin once more answered positively onto the message sent by Atsuko and was still wondering what this is all about. She couldn’t figure out why Atsuko didn’t call her in the first place. Again the reply was fast to arrive and Yuki realized how important this can be for Acchan.

“I was hoping for your positive answer. Can we meet in the front of the *** restaurant? It’s just a few meters away from the bust stop.”

Yuki answered positively again to Atsuko’s message and was in the hurry to reach that place. Thankfully she was no more than a block away from it so she was there in no minute. She got curious about Acchan’s sudden call because as she remembers correctly she never had a lunch with Atsuko only. They never had been that close together so it’s easy for Yuki to be a bit suspicious about the situation. Yukirin used to hang out only with a few members. One of them is Mayu Watanabe and they have a very unique relationship between them.

As Yuki arrived at the ‘coordinates’ Atsuko gave her she was wondering what does the center of AKB want from her. Just a few minutes later a bus was arriving at the bus stop and a familiar face just left the vehicle and walked towards the captain of Team B. Yuki was thinking about an explanation why Atsuko didn’t call her by phone. Maybe she was already on the bus and there was too much noise there.

As Yuki was still wondering Atsuko got closer and closer to her by every step. She was a bit strange as she wasn’t smiling in the way she used to. Usually there are multiple sparks of light around her when she is smiling but this time her face shows a bit of anxiety. Yukirin was in the deep though to figure out what can be wrong with Acchan. As the girl stopped in a front of Yuki at first she had trouble with even looking at her fellow member. An awkward silence was about to born but before it could cause any unnecessary harm to the situation Yuki started the conversation.

Yuki: Are you okay Acchan?

Atsuko started to feel a bit tense in a company of Yuki but she managed to answer without any particular trouble.

Atsuko: Yes, I am! I just hope I’m not holding you up in something.

Yuki was her usual self so she was as kind as ever.

Yuki: Not at all. I wasn’t doing anything. I was just walking and enjoying my free time.

Atsuko: That’s good…

Atsuko was a bit timid in this situation but she didn’t tell anything about it to Yuki just yet.

Yuki: So… Shall we go?

Yuki asked as she was ready to go where Atsuko invited her. In a matter of fact she was quite hungry to begin with so she was eager to go into the restaurant. Atsuko didn’t say a word just nodded once and entered the building. At the door she was a bit hesitant because she wanted to let Yukirin go in first but she didn’t know what to expect from the tall beauty so in the end she ended up going in first.

When they found a table and sat down they started to search through the menu. Yuki let Atsuko choose first and with this she made the girl a bit more nervous. Luckily Acchan found a meal for her taste as she chose her favorite Omelet Rice with Cheese. Yuki didn’t give too much thought for her choice as she ordered the same thing as Atsuko. The situation is started to be a bit more tense when Acchan realized that they were about to eat the same menu. As Yuki said:

Yuki: Well since we are in your favorite restaurant I chose to follow you. I hope you don’t mind. ☺

Yuki’s usually calm and cute smile made Atsuko even more nervous and she couldn’t wait to get their food so she can just bury herself into it. Because of refinement of the restaurant they got their meal soon enough so they didn’t have to spent too much time starving. Atsuko was so into her food that for a moment she even forgot that she’s not alone.

They were in the middle of the meal when the first signs of a complex conversation started to show themselves.

Yuki: So why did you call me here?

Yuki’s curiosity skyrocketed as she was eager to find out what’s the reason behind this situation.

Atsuko: That’s because…

Atsuko lost her words for a second but she was telling herself no to run away from this as she was the one who requested this meeting after all. So after a few seconds of deep breathing she finally gathered enough courage to continue the conversation.

Atsuko: There was something I wanted to talk about.

Yuki: And what would that be?

Yuki asked in curiosity as she desperately wanted to figure out why is Acchan so out of her character today.

Atsuko: It’s…

Atsuko started to be choked by her own words again but after she took a big gulp from her fruit juice she got a little courage from it and became able to continue.

Atsuko: It’s about that thing… that we both have a role in the same drama.

Yuki: Drama?

Atsuko: Yes…

Yuki lost in her thoughts again as for a second she wasn’t sure what was Atsuko talking about.

Yuki: Ah, you mean the Hanakimi?

Atsuko: Yes, that one.

Yuki: I’m really enjoying myself in acting as a different person. But you have more experiences in this and I kind of envy you.

Atsuko: What?

Atsuko was a bit surprised as she wasn’t expecting Yuki to praise her.

Yuki: You know you have the lead role of the drama and this isn’t the first drama in which you have the main character. I never had a lead role so I don’t know how that feels like.

Atsuko: Well it’s…

Atsuko’s started to be a bit embarrassed by Yuki’s constant flood of compliments.

Yuki: Ah, you are so talented Acchan!

Atsuko: Eh?

Yuki: You look so confident when you are acting. I don’t know how do you do it.

Atsuko can’t really do anything with these words as she knows that she is nowhere near to the actresses from the late night dramas she usually watches.

Atsuko: It’s nothing really… I’m not that good…

As Yuki was on the praise marathon, Atsuko’s face started to change its color to deeper red.

Yuki: What are you talking about? You are! What is wrong with you today?

Atsuko: I…

Yuki: Hm?

The short haired girl never felt a conversation to be this hard for her. She had barely enough courage left to continue after all those compliments Yuki shot at her.

Atsuko: I’m a bit worried about that drama…

Yuki: Why?

Atsuko: I don’t know how to explain it… It’s just a feeling.

Yuki: Yes?

Yuki lowered her voice as she found herself getting a bit too excited.

Atsuko: I don’t know if it’s okay to go a bit further than that. In this situation I wish I was born as a boy…

Yuki: Is everything alright Acchan? You are kind of strange today.

Atsuko can’t help herself but feel tenser and tenser as their conversation goes on. No matter how hard she tries to stay calm she simply can’t.

Atsuko: Yes… no… At least it’s nothing to worry about… yet… At least I hope it isn’t…

Yuki: Acchan?

Atsuko: It’s just… nothing…

Yuki: Now you made me worry about you. Can you tell me what’s wrong?

Atsuko never was this nervous before. She never had any problem to talk to other members or even strangers. But now she finds it hard to even look in the eyes of the tall beauty.

Atsuko: It’s… those scenes… we may shoot together…

Yuki: Scenes we may shoot together? As I read the script I sadly realized that there are not much of them. *Sigh* I wish we had more of them! And what exactly wrong with them?

Atsuko: Well…

Atsuko’s tension rises rapidly as she listens to Yuki’s words. She doesn’t know how to explain her feelings and not to be too confusing. This is her first time trying this and she doesn’t know how to proceed with this.

Yuki: I really enjoy the scenes we are shooting together. I have so much fun making them. I wish there were more of them!

Atsuko: Yuki…

Yuki: But I guess it can’t be helped…

Yuki sighs again and gives a slightly seductive smile to Atsuko which makes the girl feel a bit more uncomfortable then she was before. Atsuko’s confidence in her words is gone.

Atsuko: Yukirin… I…

Atsuko’s words suddenly became heavier than any material on Earth. She never ever thought that talking to someone can be this hard.

Yuki: Yes?

Atsuko: I think I’m becoming too attached to my character.

Yuki: Too attached to your character? What do you mean?

Atsuko: I mean… I don’t even know…

Yuki: Hah?

Atsuko: Maybe I’m becoming more boyish…

Yuki: Boyish? You?

Atsuko: Yes, me… I don’t know how to describe it… I just… feel it… I feel as I’m… starting to like…

Yuki: …?

Atsuko: Girls…

Yuki: What? Girls?

Atsuko: Yes…

Yuki gave it a little thought and a pause to ‘process the data’ she as just given.

Yuki: I see…

Atsuko: …

Yuki: And why are you telling me this? I mean sure I will listen to whatever you want to say but you do have friends to discuss this matter, right?

Atsuko: I have, but…

Yuki: But?

Atsuko: This might affect my relationship with the other members so I wanted to tell it to someone from AKB.

Yuki: I still don’t see why me? I mean there are other members you are friending with. Like Takamina. I know you are very close friends.

Atsuko: Well, she… Um… I can’t really talk about this when she’s present…

Yuki: Why? … Ah! Don’t tell me! Do you like her more than you should?

Atsuko: What? No… I mean… It isn’t like that.

Yuki: Then how it is?

Yukirin really wants to help Acchan with this so she’s eager to get as much information as she can.

Atsuko: I never saw her as a girl so…

Yuki: Oh… Well it is not just you…

Atsuko: Eh?

Yuki: There are other members who feel the same… I mean Amina. She told me before that she never thought about Takamina as a girl. She sees her as a boy in almost every situation. But I think this could be very hard for Takamina as she is an extremely sensitive person and this very well could be a sensitive point of hers.

Atsuko: Yes, but… ah…

Yuki: Hm?

Atsuko: I think I like different kind of girls than her…

Yuki: Really? Then what is your type of girl? Will you tell me?

Atsuko: Please… don’t ask it easily as it was a natural thing… It isn’t…

Yuki: Why?

Atsuko: Because I am also a girl you know…

Yuki: And? I still don’t see your point. ☺

Yukirin’s seductive character is gaining control over the conversation which makes Atsuko to be more and more embarrassed.

Atsuko: It’s just not right…

Yuki: Why?

Atsuko: Because I am a girl. I have to choose a man as a partner… not a girl…

Yuki: You know a wise man once told me that gender has nothing to do with real Love. All that’s matters is if you like that person or not. This is not a question of gender and such.

Atsuko: Yuki…

Yuki: So will you tell me your type of girl? ☺

Yukirin showed another seductive smile which made Atsuko even more nervous. Her heart was pumping so hard that she thought it would jump out of her chest. Yuki can’t seem to let this situation just slip by. She might have a different view on this situation than most people. The reason is yet unknown. As Atsuko gatherer enough courage again she could continue.

Atsuko: I think I like more feminine ones…

Yuki: I see… And is there someone whom you like more than the others?

Atsuko: You mean from the group?

Yuki: Yes, that’s what I meant.

Atsuko: Well…

Yukirin seeing Acchan’s uncomfortable position tried to ease the tension what’s floating around between them quite a long time now.

Yuki: You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. It is a private matter after all.

Atsuko: No… I have to tell you… because…

Yuki: Hm? Because?

Atsuko: Because you have the right to know…

Yuki: Really?

Yuki was raising her eyebrows as the effect of her surprise.

Atsuko: Yes, so I have to tell you…

Yuki: Okay, I’m listening…

Atsuko took a deep breath but was still hesitating a bit. As she’s starting to lose herself in a big dilemma of telling or not telling, soon one of her best friend’s words came into her mind. “Don’t be hesitant! I don’t like you when you’re weak!” The strong words of her small friend Takamina rushing through her head. These words kept her going in situations where everything else failed. Taking courage from these words Atsuko is ready to tell Yuki who is the center in her heart.

Atsuko: I have a girl whom I like more than a friend.

Yuki: Oh, and who is it?

Atsuko: It’s… YOU.

Yuki: Eh?

Atsuko: I think I fell in love with you Yuki.

Yuki’s constant smile turned into something else. She is shocked by Acchan’s confession. She was expecting something but not this. This surprised her so much that she couldn’t say a word for a few minutes at least. Later she regained consciousness and became able to speak again.

Yuki: It’s me? You like me… more than a friend?

Atsuko: Yes I do…

Yuki: But since when or…? Is this because of the drama?

Atsuko: I think this started long before that. But the Hanakimi made me realize my real feelings towards you.

Yuki: Acchan…

Atsuko: I know… I am a bad girl… I’m the worse person ever…

Yuki: Eh? Why do you say that?

Atsuko: Because… even though I know that you and Mayu have a very close relationship I still let this to happen. It’s all my fault…

Yuki: To fell in love with me?

Atsuko: Yes… I don’t want to stand between you.

Yuki: Acchan… You are not responsible for your feelings towards others. It isn’t like that. You cannot control them if they are true.

Yuki’s trying to calm Atsuko’s uneasy heart but she doesn’t really know what to say to her. Yuki never looked at Atsuko this way so she is not sure about how to answer to these words.

That’s true that she has that special relationship with Mayu but that case is different as that little ‘cyborg’ girl never did a real confession to her. They are like family to each other and therefore they never had a similar conversation before. That’s because they already are like ‘engaged’ to each other so there’s no need for confessing to each other. They already like a married couple of some sort…

But todays situation is different. Yuki received a real love confession from Atsuko and now the captain of the Team B is in a dilemma because she doesn’t really know how or what to answer to her friend…

Atsuko: I am sorry Yuki… I didn’t mean to trouble you with my feelings… After all you are not responsible for this… It’s all my…

Yuki won’t let Atsuko to finish her sentence this time. She really wants to stop the girl blaming herself.

Yuki: You are wrong Atsuko.

Atsuko: Eh?

Yuki: I am responsible for not noticing this before. It is MY fault that you got yourself into this uncomfortable situation. I have to take responsibility for this.

Atsuko: Yuki…

Yuki: I have to answer to your feelings because they are real. I just don’t know how to do that yet… But I’ll figure it out. I just need some time to do that if it is okay with you…

Atsuko: I… think so…

Yuki: Thank you. I promise it won’t take too much time. I think this could be very hard for you. I really do my best to make things clear in my head as soon as I can. I’m sorry and I thank you for your patience again.

Atsuko: Never mind…

After the hardest part the girls tried to ease the situation with ordering some ice cream and enjoying every little part of it. It didn’t last too long but was good till it lasted. After they finished their road part as Atsuko got a call onto her phone from her manager. She was asked to discuss the schedule for the week. Yuki was also called by her mother who asked assistance for shopping.

As the two girls left each other they had this uneasy feeling inside their hearts. Acchan wants to be at Yuki’s side and Yuki wants to answer to Atsuko’s feeling. She just wasn’t prepared for them. At least not yet. She has lots of things to consider and that will take some time before she will able stand before Atsuko and tell her how she feels about her. Until then there’s nothing she can do…
