Miichan should’ve played Minami really but alas. First sign of things going wrong.
To those who don’t know…
Moshidora (The Anime) is a 10 episode sports/drama anime that aired in two weeks with one epsiode every business day. It was about a high school girl who takes over her sick friend’s job as the manager of her school’s baseball team. Determined to take the team to the nationals as a gift to her friend, she does so by implementing clues from a business management novel to the baseball team and the team does go all the way.
The girl is Kawashima Minami and her sick friend is Miyata Yuki. The story resolves around these two and all the other characters are just there. It began for them way back when they were still young.
The chemistry between these two was very strong and the anime producers kept their priorities straight and didn’t cave out.
Moshidora did right what Princess Nine failed at.
Despite the huge number of candidates, the anime did not go the boyfriend/love triangles/crap route. Everything was about Yuki and Minami and I loved it.
I was actually pretty surprised by this and wasn’t expecting it.
Despite the ending, this anime is totally yuri.
Now as to why I am worried, first they messed up the cast and actually Miichan’s fans did rage about it a little. So she was stuck with playing Ayano instead who doesn’t talk much and when she does most of her dialogue is filled with “Yes?…Erm…Yes”
Ayano is one of the managers with Minami and another girl who I haven’t seen her LIVE cast of yet. Will she appear?
I bet they are going to sneak in some stupid romance shenanigans with the boys in there! I can already see it.
Oh well, I will watch it any way just so I can RAGE about it if it indeed does happen.

After watching the whole series, I was like “why didnt they let mii-chan be the lead in the movie?” I do not know if Aachan can pull off Minami honestly. The roles she has had so far in dramas dont really give her room to show if she can really act. Mii-chan’s character she will play has really no lines and I hate that. I hope they prove me wrong because I really enjoyed the story and I dont want it to be bad

Even though Acchan is like the ACE of AKB and has the most acting experience, Minami would’ve been a hit role for Miichan. She is very energetic, really great with dialogue and quite sporty.
Really, I think she was very ripped off.
Actually on the other hand, Acchan’s personality really fits Ayano’s. Or she might have even been great as Yuki but alas!
I am even more worried now!
Oh well, if it turns out to suck, I will just forget it ever happened and re-watch the anime to cleanse my mind.

Just for you to know, the Minami in the book didn’t have the same name as Minami in AKB48 by coincidence- The authorof the novel is a fan of Minegishi Minami, and based the character on her, thus they have such similar characteristics. Sadly, Atsuko is more popular, so she had the role.

Infinite number of ‘ouch’.
I mean I thought it was just the illustration that was based on Miichan but to hear that the whole character was modelled after her and not getting the frikkin role is…
The author had enough power to decide if Miichan got the main role, what didn’t they fight about it? They would’ve won!
Sigh…
Poor poor Miichan.

I thought this was some kind of a parody but the trailer’s for real so I was like !O: The energetic Miichan gets the role of the uber shy “EhAhHai” Ayano, and the Indifferentalwayslookingbored Acchan gets the hyperactive Minami? lulz Unfckingbelievably messed up. D:
Oh well, I look forward to watching this movie, I loved Moshidora so I hope they don’t mess it up. :<
