Long live Japan. Seriously though, how did I manage to live without Japan? I have no idea!

A while back, after the not so awesome news that a Fairy would be leaving,Kawane, well, they say temporary leave but the fact that they deleted all races of her existence from Fairies says otherwise, They go and announce the formation of a subgroup M-3.

M-3 is made up of obviously, whose names also start with M. But then you ask why 3 when there are four girls whose names start with M(Miria, Miki, Mahiro and Momoka)? Well, the answer is that the ‘3’ in the title refers to them all being in 3rd year of junior high. Thus M-3 is the M’s who are senior junior high scholars.

Any way, I spied their live performance of their first single ‘Dancing Doll’ but I was so not prepared for the twist in the PV!!! It all started out quite cutely, like any other idolish song. Now we know Fairies is not a cute type of Idol group, far from it but apparently this group’s concept is just that. No wonder they put them in wigs and dresses to turn them completely from Fairies’ Image.

It seems they gave up half way because even they could not handle cute Fairies because at the end, suddenly there was dissing the cute dresses for the gakuran, like, out of no frikkin where! I had rub my eyes, pinch my self to confirm that I was indeed not dreaming.

Now there is a theme about getting stronger in the lyrics so I guess one would have seen it coming but really?! To further strengthen my point that the idealists gave up half way, the coupling song is far from the main as it has that Fairies ‘dance’ feel to it.

Yep, though not extensively affected, I am not so into the cute Fairies either. I mean even Miria did not look fit for that cute theme they had going there. Okay, the wig fit her better than the rest  but it ends there.

I admit though, as one who has a major thing for MikiMiki’s legs, that the dress she spots (the red one) shows off her legs in their glory so not so disturbed but overall I still prefer those tight pants she usually wears in Fairies’ singles (Especially those black leather ones from White Angel—Ahhh).

They did not forget about that aspect of hers here as on one of the covers, we have this….

And to think that both Miria and Miki are in this is a winner by default. M-3 is fine but it would have been better if it were Mi-2. But beggars can’t be choosers and Japan threw me a few coins. Best be glad of that and move on.
