Thank you to all who were kind enough and almost equally as excited as I am for this movie, to send me all those alerts, messages and comments letting me know that ‘The Handmaiden’ is out and about.

Yes, ‘The Handmaiden’. I don’t even care anymore what it is called! I don’t care that I have not even gone through 30% of the movie yet. Nothing matters anymore. ‘The Handmaiden’ is truly, finally, without a single doubt – My All Time Favourite Movie! I can say right now I doubt any movie shall ever exist to take its place! The only way this might be topped, is if Christopher Nolan, Park Chan-wook, The Pang Brothers and Takashi Miike all came together to make yet another adaptation of Fingersmith! That, is the only way another movie could ever hope to de-throne this movie!

And I have not yet gone past the 40min mark!

It is now 7am here in Dublin. I started watching this movie at 3am in the night! It has taken me 4 freakin hours to get through 40mins of the 2h25min of heavenly goodness!

Then why am I wasting time writing this when I should be watching the rest of the movie?

Um, hello! Who do you think I am? A superhero? I am only human. How you expect me to get through this movie in one seating blows my mind! I have simply given up because my whole being cannot simply handle this movie! It has taken me 4 hours to watch 40mins of footage and my mind still cannot wrap itself around what the eyes have just seen, what my ears have just heard, what my feeling have just been bombarded with!

I just…I just can’t!

To whoever got to see this in the cinema, I commend you all. I bow down to your awesomeness because there is no way, there is no way I could have handled this in the cinema!

What was I even writing about? Why did I post this? Oh yeah, to thank you all for looking out for me and updating me!

Obviously this is going to take me a week to finish. And by the way, this is not even the whole movie. This is the Theatrical Cut which is 145 minutes long. There will be a Director’s Cut with the Blurays/DVDs that is over 3 hours long!

Oh Jesus! I have to confront that one as well. A Director’s Cut of this movie? Are you like, kidding me?!

Yeah, I am warning anyone going into this movie blind – Tread very carefully!

Because I need it to travel through time and space right to the Cannes Screening (Because it was the first and has subs, hello!). And then I would travel right back to the beginning of the film over and over and over and I wouldn’t even care what effects I would make to the stupid Universe!

Homura taught me what the words ‘do whatever it takes’ mean!

But since I don’t have a Tardis, I am reduced to sitting here and feeling all levels of jellies almost as equal to our protag’s own…

[Ahgassi] Oh The Torture! The Delicious Torture!

Of waiting for this movie has no equals! And it just occurred to me that the movie has only been out in cinemas not even a month! Hell, it’s pure hell, the days between me knowing about this movie to the day I get to hold that gift from God of a Bluray boxset of Ahgassi/The Handmaiden!

Why am I posting this? Well, it is not because of the lovely pics that are courtesy of a forum that Anon K referred to me but rather because of the below vid, which, at the 19min45s mark, the Lady got to the ‘TOOTH SCENE’. And the rest is history…

Seriously, everything I read about that scene just makes me melt and I haven’t even seen the movie! I already knew it would knock me side ways just from the trailers and clips but I thought it might have been my strange tastes! The way now all reviewers are talking about it…well…All seems true, the thought that that scene is actually more intense than the sex scenes! Hell, I already did a post where Kim Tae-ri herself says that scene was harder on her compared to the nudity and sex!

Dear Mr Park, if yo have that scene in all three POVs, and also an extended version on the Uncut Bluray and also a deleted bit of it, or maybe some behind the scenes of unused footage of it, I will worship you too every Tuesday!

So, while I try not to turn into bones as I await this movie, here are some more pics…

[Pics] Ahgassi PB GET!

Okay, firstly, I wish to thank the lovely readers who have been keeping me up to date with this movie. I am really very grateful. Please do not hesitate to share if you find something. If I haven’t posted about it, chances are 0.9999998 that I have not come across it yet.

Another thing I wish to say, as I get this question a lot so i decided to add it in a post, if you are wondering what episode it is that I have blogged about, please look at the caps. I always name the images so that you can see what episode the caps are from. Simply hovering your mouse over an image, opening it in a different browser and looking at the address bar or page title will tell you the image name.

The image names have the episode numbers and/or dates.

Now with that out of the way, about the Photobook. Un-fortunately, or fortunately, the PB is just that – a Photobook for the movie. Therefore it doesn’t do Fan-service and as such, the only images in there with Kim Min-hee and Kim Tae-ri alone together are just those two you see up there.

Maybe it’s because this was Park Chan-wook’s own images? But he did say in the book before hand that it would contain images that were not specifically from the movie. Images from post production all the way back in 2013 (Yes, this movie has been in development for over three years!) and so most images are about scenery and stuff like that.

Oh well, I am not disappointed because I did not have high hopes for this. But it is connected to Ahgassi, so of course I am going to collect it.

First battle is won with this. The other two are going to be torture! Next is the OST and then in my old age (feels like I am going to wait for forever) that Blu-ray will be mine!
