And so here we go! Looks like this is the season for me to get back into anime. Yeah, I know I was watching F/SN UBW before but since it was the only one I was watching, kind of doesn’t count as being back. With this season though, I am thinking that yes, I am back!

Watashi ga Motenai
Totally missing Fate/Stay Night UBW, which is on break until April, I decided to go check out some other anime because I know this is a slow period and I need to pass the time. I was kind of surprised to find quite a bit of interesting ones. Now of course Watashi ga Motenai is actually already finished airing (waay back) but I just decided to watch it right now and I am finding myself wondering why I did not watch it when it was airing. Then there is the new one like Koufuku Graffiti and Kantai Collection.
And before we proceed, yes, I have actually watched episode 01 of Yuri Kuma Arashi. I mean come-on, from the person that brought us the unforgettable UTENA, how could I miss this for the world? Sadly, I was hit right in the plexus when I did watch it, especially that OP! I mean I will hold off judgement until I have seen episode two but usually OPs give away how a story will progress and what I saw was that it was going into Threesome territory!
I hate Threesomes!
I don’t usually use the word hate and try not to but in the case of threesomes, I don’t even have a bad aftertaste after using it because I can’t stand threesomes! If a thing called Love exists and soul mates and such, then there is no way it can be divided into three people! If it can then why not go all out and make it 5 or 10P while they are at it?! To me this takes away the concept of Love or more like it dilutes it and makes it less, I don’t know, real? Yuri Kuma seems to be heading into Threesome territory and it is the reason why I am not including it, but I have watched the first episode and will see two to close off the deal.
Yeah, I am very emotional when it comes to yuri!
Going back to the actual Anime that grabbed my attention, I will be beginning with the oldest one that has already finished airing…

So, while visiting one of the Anime blogs I follow after what feels like forever, I stumbled upon this entry about an anime that I wasn’t aware of. The latest episode’s (11) entry totally got me curious so I figure why not? Reading that this was a second part of an arc, I went ahead and got episode 10 as well. That’s right, I totally ignored the first 9 episodes and from what I have seen, a good choice I made.
Even from the OP alone, unless I am just so ignorant, I certainly didn’t sense any importance nor did I see Kazuki and Amane’s characters which makes me believe that they are just side characters? Someone knowledgeable on this please correct if I am wrong. And so I skipped over the first episodes and just went into this arc about a certain club being involved in an accident. Actually, I don’t think I missed anything by skipping all those episodes because even these lovely characters seemed to just meet just now which suits me just great. This is not the first time I watched only a selected few episodes from a series. Index s2 with Kuroko being a prime example.
The only anime I am watching this season is Fate/Stay Night UBW as I confess that anime just doesn’t impress me that much anymore. But my goodness was I taken by surprise at what I saw in these two episodes! I am not sure what it is about it. Is it the realness of it? Most probably! These students were involved in a accident but maybe because of experience I wasn’t expecting any bodies! The calmness of the characters did not help as well so I wasn’t expecting anything drastic. Well, I was wrong, suddenly, there were three bodies, which I only got to see when they started rotting (God)! Injured girls were getting infections due to the lack of effective medicine despite Kazuki’s great attempts. Girls were losing it as time went on due to bad dieting and lack of nutrition! This is NOT a horror anime I tell you that much! It really is about the realness of everything!
But within all that chaos, something great made me stick up for this harem of harem anime (yes, it’s a harem!) And that was the relationship between these two first years; Kazuki and Amane.

Saber yo, I am not sure what happened to you between Fate/Zero and now but you sure seem a bit full of yourself! If you keep this up you are in for a world of hurt. Only your A++ Luck saved you from being KO during Day 0 without even having spent half an hour in our world. As she said Lancer’s Nobel Phantasm negates Cause and Effect which literally means that Luck and Fate mean nothing in the face of Gae Bolg. Saber only survived because her Luck is at the top of the game! Any other servant would have been done for. Even with her luck though, she was only lucky enough to avoid her heart from being pierced through.
But then even as hurt as she is, after Lancer let’s her go, she goes right into the next battle. Rin had been worried after being warned by Archer that if Lancer knows that the witness was still alive, he would come to finish the job so of course Rin had to come over to keep an eye on the guy that her sister loves (It’s all about Sakura). But Saber senses their presence and attacks! Random Schoolmate noticing Rin uses one of his command seals to stop Saber. Saber was all like ‘What are you doing? I could have defeated them now and be done with it!’ and I was like…
Saber yo, you know that you are hurt, right? You don’t even know anything about the servant you are fighting against or the fact that his master has to be the strongest mage in all the masters in this war but Oh No…You think you are stronger than everybody else! Well, Saber, I am going to enjoy seeing your smile being wiped off your face in the coming episodes if you keep up this unpleasant character of yours!
Yeah, Saber is really coming off a bit differently from the one I remember and from what I hear, about UBW being about Team Red (Rin and GARcher), I guess it is intended for her to have a less likeable character, though not by much because hello, Saber was damn fine in fate/Zero, too fine! Then again, if she is going to be like this through out then it won’t be hard to not like her that much anymore. But Rin loves her so I have to love her too…Ahhh so conflicted!
