Welcome aboard, YukaMarina

So, after seeing those interesting HUMPING gifs of this show on tumblr…BTW, I went out in search of this AKB show I hadn’t known even existed when it’s been over a year since it started airing, just to find that one episode. I haven’t found that particular episode I was searching for so if anyone know where I can find it, please help me out. It’s the one with the girls doing it on the floor. I don’t even remember which girls it was. And now I realised I did not even save the darn gif. Oh well, those who saw that particular episode will know what I am referring to, right?

Any way,  I really love these off-the-record AKB shows. You see the girls as  their real selves, well, as real as they can get. They just appear a bit more natural on these types of shows where there isn’t much pressure on them. For example Tano Yuka in this particular episode (which is the latest as far as I am aware). I did not think she was this kind of girl but really, I never thought about her before. But since that extra footage on the 2nd Utagassen DVDs, I was kind of pulled in by her.

From there I as I had just decided to look out for her, she started having a lot of screen-time on Kousagi Dojo. But that show despite being labelled as having the truth vibe, it’s still fake as hell to me. It did not help much except give me some HD eyegasm of Yuka in all her dimple-faced glory. Last time I checked, she was training up to enter a Street Dance Comp.

It was when I saw her here on Anta Dare that I began speculating her personality and I gotta say that I loved what I saw. She isn’t perfect and her serious look, a la Tomochin is bound to get her some antis but I actually love it on here whereas I couldn’t Tomochin. Tomochin is much better with a smile on her face and she can do it, why she goes for the other look is beyond me. Lately she is more happy and smiles a lot even in those accidental shots which suits her way better I think. That alone is bound to get her more fans or those that left back to her. I am sure of it.

From what I gathered after watching this episode, Yuka is just one of those people whose personalities get mistaken due to judging by looks. You can’t tell what’s inside until you talk to her. Watching her from a distance, you see her and think, wow that girl looks like she could be a major grade a biache. But when she opens her mouth, that voice is the first think that slaps you silly, then the way she speaks her words kick you in the butt next. She is like T-ara’s Jiyeon in that way. They both have the bitch look yet sound anything but and are anything but that as well.

She mentioned too that she has been mistaken in this way before and I have to say that in the beginning of the episode I too was raising my eyebrows from time to time but then by the end of it, I was so won over my her I already even ship her.

Now let me tell you something here. For me to ship someone I have to be really into one of that pair. I don’t just pull them out of nowhere just because. Sometimes ships will die when they get to my dock because I don’t into either of the halves.

Now, not that I’m saying I don’t like Marina because she too got to me in this episode. I love girls with minds that work that way. Her skit where they had to play a role of a young sister getting back home to their brother was just…wow! Girls who think on their feet are the best! As Yuka is the opposite of this, I found they made a great combination which is why I jumped the gun. Yuka is fragile and quite negative, as I gathered, while Marina is so positive and bright-spirited that I just could not ship! And Marina doing what I was hoping for her to do, that is to compliment Yuka and be the protector, was just what the doctor had ordered.
