Vid – What is Love [Supercat]

I love, love, loved? this show dear Readers! I so loved this show, and it was all thanks to this ship! Cat and Kara, without a doubt the characters with the best chemistry on the show, kept me coming back for more ever since episode 2 and I haven’t looked back since, until now, maybe…

You see, I actually was pulled in by the Danvers Wincest from that Pilot episode but just the next episode, Supercat stole my heart and I have been in love ever since then!

Sadly things are not looking good anymore, which is why I have been forced to post something about it in the form of a short FMV. You see not only did we get the best Supercat episode this second episode of Season 2 but it is the last episode with Supercat! Hopefully not forever!

Cat just got replaced by another character and thus she is leaving the show for the foreseeable future! This all after CW took over from CBS as the show running company and I have been looking forward to upgraded Supercat a la CW and if this second episode was anything to go by, we were in the best hands!

God, I am so conflicted! I want to shout out with all my heart at the unfairness of it all but then on the other hand, CW went and sent off Cat Grant with a bang, feeding us Supercat shippers in the process and thus making hating them a no go!

I really hope she comes back! I mean she did promise Supergirl (The only person that puts stars in Cat’s eyes) that she would return and Kara finally did step up to the occasion and spilled how much Cat means to her (this is the second time BTW. First time she said ‘You mean more to me than you will ever know’ and this time she said ‘I don’t know how I will go on without you’) and she finally hugged Cat Grant!!! I mean Supergirl already did it but for some reason Kara doing it means that much more!

Anyway, I hope Cat comes back…soon. I don’t think I can watch this show without her! Not even Lex’s Sister, who it seems is going to be taking over Cat’s role as Kara’s motivator, makes me want to stay! And what is with all the sisters on this show anyway? First it was Lois’s and now Lex’s. Who is next, the grant sister we did not know existed?

Anyway yeah, just coming out and letting you know all that I am an avid Supercat citizen!

I touched upon this before but I have seen a trend of movies experimenting with age-gap yuri. By that I mean ‘ships’ with couples who are very far apart in age. In this particular case, it is the woman/child size of age gap.

Korea has done it already, multiple times, to great success (Dohee dear Readers, Dohee – or as most know it as ‘A Girl At my Door’). Japan has been doing it since forever, if you include anime (I’m looking at you Bee-Train, and I miss you. Please come back). Malaysia has done it (even though I have yet to get my hands on that movie) and hell, even Murica has got in on the action (Fragile – look it up. It even has a ‘Sleeping Beauty’ kiss and I so need to talk about this movie too).

So really, what does England go and wish for? A chance in on the action and it does get it in the form of apocalyptic thriller/horror – The Girl With All The Gifts. When I saw the trailer, the narration got to me and then that ‘She Loves You’ line drove my curiosity into attention territory. That was weeks ago and seeing the ‘Based off of a best Seller’ I wasted no time in going out and hunting for the book. I read the book. Then this week I just watched the movie.

First of all, thank you so very very much dear YuRiAnDo. It is because of you that I got to know about this wonderful, wonderful, bitter-sweet KBS special. Yes, I do indeed lurk at your site as well, in case you were wondering (kukuku) and so when I fell upon this post of yours, I kept the special in my mind and went out searching for the best quality of it possible. It took me some time (this is a 2013 special so finding working links was hard) but I finally got it and then watched it and…

Oh My God!

I am telling you all now dear Readers, if you haven’t watched this special yet, you don’t know what a tragic character is! You don’t know what a BAD-END is! You have not felt for a character like you will the two ladies in this one! You will never want to hate a villain so much like you will Ha-jin and yet feel for her so much more than any other character in the same story, yes, even Yoo-jin. Forget Romeo and Juliet, those two’s life is a Kids’ bedtime story compared to Ha-jin and Yoo-jin’s story.

God!

This is the first time I remember as an adult crying myself to sleep! It was earlier than I usually go to bed but once Jin Jin ended, I just gave up and went to sleep, eyes leaking, nose running, like I was a kid after being hit for misbehaving and sent to my room to brood. I was out of purpose! This special really hit me hard. Which makes me super ashamed to think that it has taken me three whole years to know about this! How did I miss it?!

Okay, okay! I am trying to be calm over here but it ain’t working! I need a bottle of vitamins to sedate me because I am in dire need of a relaxant! This show was…Oh dearest MUSIC FAIR, and you too Mayuyu!

Thank you so very much all of you! Thank you Mayuyu for taking this day off (probably for CROW’S BLOOD as Sakura-tan was also missing) because if you were here, I am sure Yukirin wouldn’t have had such awesome positions! Thank you Lord, for having this episode be filmed at this exact moment! Thank you MUSIC FAIR, for this awesome show! Thank you!

Oh yes, this is the episode of MUSIC FAIR that aired on the same day as the SSK, hence why it has been in the shadows but calling out to all Yukirinians, if you haven’t watched it, please get out right now and watch it! Such great Yukirin shots, positions and I don’t know if the happiness just made everything that much better, the whole performances were just so great to watch!

The whole episode was dedicated to AKB and they did not even have time for the usual talk as they went straight into the medley of all voting and elections singles up to Halloween Night! As a bonus of course they also did Kimi wa Melody in different costumes!

In addition, we got to see some clips from the past SSKs including cute, cute young Yukirin when she broke the Kami wall for the others to follow suit! Girls took turns centring, with Miion taking over for Yuko as usual, Annin and Souhan for Mayuyu and sometimes Yukirin for Mayuyu as well! Sayanee centred Bokutachi wa T, Renacchi also double cantered!

All was just so marvellous but what took the cake was none other than Yukirin centring FLYING GET! It has bugged me ever since AtsuYuko’s graduation that Yukirin never took over as the Center because to me, Flying Get is Yukirin’s song! In case anyone doesn’t know, that was the single when she went from a Non-Kami to standing right next to THE AtsuYuko!

It was a moment that I shall never forget! My very first SSK I watched LIVE and I remember the screams in the crowds when Yukirin was called! That was a moment I think that shall never be beat! I don’t that even getting No.1 now would gain the same reaction now. It might come close but not to have a cigar! It was just such a magical moment!

So whenever I saw Yukirin standing on the side while others took over for Acchan I was like, seriously?!

But now, finally! We finally get it! I don’t even care that it was scraps because Mayuyu was not there! They could have easily had Annin or Souhan centre this time even without Mayuyu so this is a sure cause for FEELs and dear Readers do I have FEELs!

Forget about SSK, where the only good thing was seeing the Kashiwagi Children rank and  move up (Sayaya >.<~) this right here is what has made my weekend! And it wasn’t just centring Furage, Yukirin had some great positions in this! Be it middle, back or front…Just…Hanyan~

Damn you AKB48 Show and your expected but still hurtful betrayal!!

Yeah,  just watched AKB48 Show to catch quick summaries of Kami speeches as I am short on time to watch the whole 6hr video and guess what, no Yukirin!

Yes, Now I remember! This is no Deja vu! More like, Deja usual! I did not watch last year’s episode during the SSK but the year before that, I think I actually posted about it here, showing Mayuyu’s subtle reaction to the matter, but during the 37th single elections episode, they skipped Yukirin’s speech like it it was nobody’s business!

Well, that happened again this time too! Then again, they cut Sayanee too so maybe I should feel less, I don’t know, salty? Well to hell with AKB! From now on I am going to be looking to the outside parties for my Yukirin respect! Like in the case of CROW’S BLOOD where the director even went out of his way to tweet to Yukirin letting her know he appreciates her hard work by actually showing appreciation!

And speaking of CROW’S BLOOD, hot damn Yukirin is looking super fine! From what I hear she is the leader of the school’s Mean Girls that includes Yuria, Miion, Katorena, to mention but a few! AND, she is going to be a kind of regular so suck on that AK-you know who you are!
