Locke and Key (Netflix Series)

Yes, I am aware that Kinsey is in some kind of love triangle with two guys (or is it?!) and as some people are always quick to point out as if it is a red stop sign, she and Eden are enemies, well, for the most of the season and as we find out at the end, Eden is turning to the dark side having been taken over by an otherworldly entity!

So yeah, things don’t look too bright but hey, remember Hope and Lizzie?! And actually I have a better feeling here than over there! First, I am not sure why but while she is with two guys, somehow Kinsey doesn’t strike me as someone super straight! And even if she is, she has already hooked up with a woman, even if she does not know it yet! Next, despite being almost the Queen B of their school, we don’t see Eden with any boys other than that one time earlier on with Kinsey’s brother at a party! Hmm…I wonder why that would be!

Then there is that little fact that Kinsey’s inner demon, which is usually a metaphor for one’s inhibited self, seems to have a huge hard-on for Eden! That…thing sought her out from time to time and while Kinsey was keen to explain that it was her fear which attached everything she was afraid of, we sure don’t see it attack anything else other than Eden!

Yeah, you ain’t gonna fool us that easily!

Maybe it’s just Kinsey’s understanding and the show might come back to it later and show that it was actually something else? Maybe that Dark side of Kinsey’s will play a part in figuring out what is going on and that Eden is actually not Eden as is Kinsey’s boyfriend who is actually the Antagonist, an Evil witch who took over his body and was the one making out with Kinsey all this time!

Hopefully they don’t pull that shit where Eden hooks up with her because they were actually lovers in their old life and thus creating the unnecessary love feud! But hey, if it leads to more drama between and thus more screen time between the two, I am all for it! And from what I understand Eden is an original character created for the series so really, they can do some things and it’s always the series that put their own touches on the material that get the thumbs up!

Gotta say though, I am quite disappointed that there are no fics of these two! It seems writers these days all go for the canon ships! There is no longer any excitement in the shipping world! What is the point of reading fics about already established couples?! I mean unless it is one fantastic story that is equal or even better than the original story, why bother?! The original idea of slash fics was so we could have what we never got, isn’t that right?!

I guess I have to do what I did for Hope and Lizzie! Beg until someone listens and answers my prayers!
