Dark Desire [Netflix Mexico]

No access to my PC and won’t have it for a while so I apologise for the silence that has been and is soon to follow.

But if I come across something that interests me enough, I’ll do a quick one for it on my phone, like this.

Interestingly, I only watched this because of the episodic synopsis on Netflix. Without my PC I have no choice but to go Netflix so really, I might have missed this one all together otherwise. Goes to show you that there’s weight to the saying about everything happening for a reason.

If I hadn’t read about Zoe questioning her sexuality, I might not have watched this series. But I did and while Zoe is an idiot, so much so that at one point I was waiting for her to be deaded, I still ship Zoe and Karina.

The series is messed up, the guy Zoe obsessively hooked up with, partly to deny the fact that she was gay, was the same guy that was banging her Mom! That is just a No No in my book! Thankfully after finding out the truth, she didn’t look back and finally turned true to her self by getting together with Karina.

Sadly, fake straight Zoe took up most of the time in the astronomically long Netflix series of 18 episodes!

On the bright side, we begin with gay Zoe and end with gay Zoe and both times with bestie Karina, who is out and proud by the way.

Anyway, yeah, just watch it. It’s on Netflix.

No, you did not mis-read that! I said what I said – This series is no Brazilian version of Euphoria, which is the true American version of the UK SKINS! No, this is those series on drugs!

Yeah, I see you sitting there rolling yours eyes at the absurdity of me even insinuating that there is a crazier version of EUPHORIA and SKINS! There is! The only thing those other series have over this is length but that is for some reason turning out to be a staple for series from that part of the world! Brazil and Mexico for some reason came to an understanding that each season should be a 6 episode thing!

I don’t agree but since they have a 100% success rate in giving sequels, then I don’t mind!

God, these comebacks do crazy things to me!!! We need more of them! I nearly died when Jo came back to NMB48 way back then. I passed out when Harada-chan returned to Keyakizaka46 (I need to write about that too). And now…Kageyama-kun, one of my no so secret crushes is back to Hinatazaka46!!!!

Too bad really that she had to come back when her girl friend has left! It’s a tragic life we are living these days! Oh well, it’s not so bad. There is Miho to ship her with now. Or even Nibu-chan! I don’t ship them with anyone so they are fair game!

Seriously though, you all have no idea how happy I am right now! I kind of suspected it when I saw a certain twitter vid she posted a month or so back! Heck, I didn’t even know she was on hiatus,. I thought she had left for good! I guess that is why I am so happy right now!

Somehow, despite what is going on outside my window, I don’t feel like falling into despair with the good that is happening too! Now, if only there existed a fic of these two…

[Warrior Nun] Your Move, God!

When the showrunner for WARRIOR NUN was asked in an interview:

Assuming season 2 is picked up, and keeping in mind that Pride just ended, will we be getting more queer storylines, particularly with Beatrice?

Here’s what the reply was…

Should we get the chance to keep going then we’ll definitely want to double down on Beatrice’s story and backstory and find out where that goes. But I can’t say if it’ll resolve into a full blown relationship with Ava, but I do like the idea that everyone had to come to this story with their own journey and their own battle. And I love that Beatrice is one of our strongest and fiercest combatants in this story. She presents her journey in such a beautiful and nuanced way.

No one said anything about Beatrice and Ava yo!!!! Could it be?! Could it that we aren’t just fan-shipping?!!! He just outed himself that there is sure to be something happening between those two even no matter the outcome!

And really, why the hell not?! They have already diverted from the source material as from what I hear, Shannon was the main character in the GNs and they just went and killed her off in the opening! Might as well go all out, am I right!

I mean, Ava is already smote with Beatrice’s lips! Just look at all these times she just salivated at them!!!

You can quote me on that, despite the fact that Ava (the lead) spent most of her time drooling and eventually hooking up with Mr Nice Dick and also the cancer that is effecting current series, especially the streaming series where producers think that literally cutting the story in half will guarantee them a sequel!

Like, stop that!!!

What’s wrong with entertainment business these times?! That is not how you win audiences over!! Have you been living in a ditch where you did not see great shows being cancelled after a single season despite being great!? There are no guarantees for sequels, and it is even harder now given the lack of resources due to the global situation facing the world!

Stop telling half stories! If people don’t feel satisfaction with the first attempt because the story was lacking given that there was no resolution because you are saving it for a sequel, that’s going to hurt your chances at that sequel even more!! For crying out loud, just tell at least a sub-plot and get it done! At least give the viewers of the first season something to appreciate and be thankful for wasting their time watching!!!

I really hate this trend! This very series did just that, and even worse than most! They literally cut the season off right in the middle of a boss battle!!!! Like, What the flying frack!?!

But if I am being honest, I am not writing about this because of the damn plot! It’s always about the gay! I watch things for other reasons but never write about any other reason! Sadly though, the cancer, as expected, also got into our business!!
