Spider Lilies 刺青

I know it is not good to assume but in the case of Spider Lilies, I will have to make an exception and assume that everyone who comes here has seen this movie.

Surely.

In fact I count on it because there is nothing more I can about this movie than saying it’s ‘near perfection’. Nay, It is perfection.

The main girls are;

Isabella
Isabella Leung
Rainie
Rainie Yang
Yi_han
Yi-han Chen

The casting Director of this movie sure hit jackpot! For the love of all that is…Is there a bad thing about this movie?!

Any ways for a short synopsis, in her high school days Takeko (Isabella) had a sweet heart Zhen Zhen(Yi-han) and at that time, Jade (Rainie) was only nine but she fell in love for the first time with Takeko as well way back then. While Takeko was over at Zhen Zhen’s having fun (Yep, that kinda fun) an earthquake happened in which her father died saving her little brother who was so broken by the incident he became a bit retarded. Pretty messed up I know.

That’s in the flashbacks.

The story takes place in the present where Takeko is all grown up and has a job (tattoo art) and Jade is also grown up (17/18) but her life wasn’t a good one and it seems she’s into online stripping.

Fate brings them together again after the long separation when Jade walks into the tattoo shop of Takeko’s.

Magic Happens.

Any ways, here are the pictures.

And I do apologise for the messy gallery but Win Live is not letting me upload to it!

Beautiful/Crazy 乱青春

What better way to share the love than beginning with the movie that I use as this site’s avatar!

Beautiful/Crazy. A Taiwanese movie released in 2009.

I was actually planning on reviewing it, way back before it was released, but that plan went straight down under after I watched it. Why?

Well, this movie is so complicated that even after years, I still can’t quite make heads and tails of it. I mean even without going into the deep, one gets lost just from the surface when we are bombarded with the relationship charts in this monster of a movie.

It’s not a love triangle, neither is it a quadrilateral but a Hexagon! It’s a freaking Love hexagon!

And that’s just the surface of things. try going deeper and the world’s top scientists would have a field day with it! Seriously.

Any ways I love this movie a lot none the less and it has to be one with the greatest PR photos I’ve ever come across. The movie stars these three main girls;

Amiya Lee

Angel Yao

Chien-hui Liao

Amiya Lee plays Xiao-bu, the girl that is in the centre of things. Angel Yao plays Angel, who is in love with Xiao-bu and is having an affair with Ah Mi’s father. Chien-hui Liao plays Ah Mi, a somewhat dojiko girl who borrows everything of Xia-bu from her under-garments to her boyfriend. She manages to get a kiss from Xiao-bu though for all her troubles.

Like, see what I mean~

Any way, no more of this nonsense talk. You came for pics so here they are…

Shibuya Maruyama Story [JMovie]

Shibuya-ku Maruyama-cho 2743

Shibuya Maruyama Story (AKA Shibuya-ku Maruyama-cho) is a 2007 over two hours long romance J-movie [Yeah, like I can’t believe I just heard about it this week! I FAIL]. The theme of the movie is that Shibuya is like this centre of the world where romance blossoms and also where troubled people go to heal their hearts. It has two separate stories which are only connected by places (Shibuya of course, a restaurant and a Love Motel) but other than both being about romance, they are two separate movies.

The first part is about a schoolgirl who despite having a boyfriend already, falls for the new teacher. As expected, I cut the movie in two and threw this first part into the recycle bin immediately afterwards cleaning up said bin.

Sayonara part 1. So if you want to watch that part, you will have to get the whole movie yourself. It’s only the second part that I am interested in after all.

The second half of the movie stars Riisa Naka (as Yumi), one everyone should know by now as ‘The Girl Who Leapt Through Time’ (She voiced Makoto in the animated movie as well) and was the lead in ‘Yankee-kun to Megane-chan’ J-drama too. It was in the drama that Riisa-chan caught my attention. In this movie, she co-stars with Yumiko Hara (as Ariyoshi). I confess that I know little about Yumiko-san.
