I don’t know who is stalking my humble blog over here but please, keep on doing what you are doing! And I will keep on doing what I am doing!

Anyway, the Sci-Fi genre strikes again with with yet another Space Adventure series, starring a whole lot of people of colour, the main character herself being not only one of us but also gay!

Like, can you talk about making one’s dreams come true!?! When one of your favourite genre gets with the programme and catches up with the world, having a female main character who is basically representing three, nay, four camps, like, how not to fall in love!?!!

And unlike SyFy’s VAGRANT QUEEN which was a silly comedy in space, this is 100% serious and the budget is up there and the characters here are more complex so is the story and did I mention it looks good?! But really, all shows made outside of American look good so…

Ahem

But there is one caveat here and that is that sadly my condition kicked in here! While I knew that Ash (the main character) and Verona (the tomboy) would be the ones from the get go, I was into a different ship altogether and when it did not pan out I of course was not tuned into the one that did!

Yeah, I totally don’t like the ship they went with here, which is why this is going to be a short post! I am just sharing it because I actually love the story and the characters (except Verona, and my gut was right not to like her given the ending) and I don’t know if I am biased given that I don’t ship them but their make-out scenes were awkward as hell!

That being said, there was a moment between them that did squeeze my heart a bit. When they went to a certain planet to steal fuel cells for their ship, Ash got stuck under water where the cells were stored. Verona had aquaphobia (fear of water) but she jumped underwater anyway in order to save Ash and there they had their kinda first kiss when Verona passed Ash some air. That was also where their relationship started into gear.

Other than that though, yeah, I was just not into them!

But like I said, I was into everything else. The characters like I said were great, complex, villains are not really villains and heroes are not really heroes and also relationship-wise, I give the show props for pulling a Kannazuki no Miko, where the main character is stuck into a threesome with a girl and boy and ends up with the girl!

That is very rare and it is totally commendable!

Even though I don’t dig the ship! But I am beating a drum here so I will just leave you all to it.

PS, I would love Candy (the blue-eyes alien doctor) for a girlfriend! That tongue of hers…whew! Imagine the things she could do with that tongue! Just thinking about it is making me…

Sure Jan, sure…

No seriously, I watched this for the plot, because everyone was raving about it before it came out and so I figured surely, this is going to be gud! Despite looking to me like another cash grab fantasy from the get go, I did not see any harm in checking it out! I mean, let’s be honest, there’s a lack of content this year as expected given the state of last year!

So then, now that I have seen it, what of it?

Well, my initial hunch was right on the money! I seriously have almost completely forgotten about it! The only remaining memory is of these two obviously! To tell the truth I was expecting even that much! And I nearly quit before our main girl Alina (Dark Hair) got to the castle, where she would have to meet our other girl Genya (The Red Head)!

I only hang in there because before watching I was actually already into Alina/Inej and so I did not want to quit until at least they met! That obviously did not pan out and thankfully, my sickness did not take over here. I am of course talking about that disease I have that when I ship a couple before I watch the show and they don’t pan out, I never ship any other that actually ends up happening!

Here though when Genya came onto the scene, she was on fire! It was love at first sight! Or should I say ship at first sight! Their chemistry was so good that, look, you can call me a shill all you want but Alina and Genya’s relationship was the fuckin best in this damn season!

It was so good they even milked it when they left their relationship at a cliff-hanger when it turned out that Genya was too loyal to the King which saw them parting ways in tears!

That’s right, there were tears! And look, I already said I don’t remember most of the show but did Alina get that emotional over any other character!! And they only spent a short time together so for her to get that attached…

Yeah!

And as far as I am concerned Genya’s power is most compatible to Alina’s then again, really, Genya’s power is useful to anyone, well, maybe an immortal! And speaking of that power, that scene when Alina was fake assassinated, I really wished that was the real Alina! That could have been a challenging moment for Genya, like, can she actually heal such fatal wounds? If she had not done it before, then the drama would have been for her to push her limits here and maybe even there being a price to pay, like, maybe her losing her ability, either temporally or permanently!

Either way, that was a great moment for drama but of course it was a decoy which makes no sense to me but hey, who am I to question such a beloved story!

Anyway, these two had quite a few moments together that just sent my heart flying! Great, now I feel like keeping it around just to re-watch their scenes and their scenes alone!

Yeah, Alina was a threesome with the Bad Guy and her childhood friend who she ended every damn episode day dreaming about (that shit was annoying!! Is this a goddamn romantic adventure or fantasy!?!) and they tried to push this Palace Alchemist with Genya which left me wondering why the fuck she had been there since she was 11 but had to wait until Alina got here to start pinning! But who am I to argue with this beloved story!

Not that it matters anyway, we shippers live with our own rules which are all variations of THERE IS NO RULES!

And with that, Alina/Genya for S2!

You see, I made a Canaan video ways back which was more on the action side (edited to the 007 Bond Theme) and when I decided to reupload that video but updated quality-wise (it was previously in 720p and scan-lines were everywhere) I realised there was a lot of yuri content in there than I remembered!

And so Ire-watched the whole series and it turns out I loved it more than I remember loving before so I was like, eh, what the heck, I might as well make a whole different video!

There we go!

Looks like Cult activities are back on the menu Girls and Boys! Just when you thought BiSH was the end of the line, here comes the main course in the forms of PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS!!

To the none initiated, Yukirin – AKB48’s Kashiwagi Yuki and my favourite Idol of all time, seriously, she is like God status while the others are only mere mortals! Anyway, Yukirin is joining the WACK Agency, after the successful collaboration on Yukirin’s last single – CAN YOU WALK WITH ME! He name under the Agency is YUKI-REISOLE, as let’s be honest, she needs to have a dual identity in order to survive, which she thankfully as, along with even a different YouTube Channel under WACK!

I wasn’t so sure in the last episode where she met BiSH but it seems like she will be joining all groups of WACK, kind of alike an inter-Idol Group Kennin! As part of the initiation process, she is meeting all the groups under WACK beginning with BiSH, which I already wrote about, and now she has met two other groups; PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS!

As you can imagine, the news was quite the shock and even more so when you know what Groups she is joining! I mean, this is Yukirin we are talking about here! But while the BiSH episode was a shock of itself, that was just the appetisers!!

This time she gets to meet the seemingly most innocent of the groups under the Agency (PARADISES) and the worst of them all (GO TO THE BEDS).

It was so bad this episode that both groups got censored! Like, I have never seen voice censoring on YouTube videos until now! It’s serious business! At one point you could see Yukirin’s soul leave her body!

Yeah, she and I might not have thought this through!

For being the seemingly most innocent, and in fact the looks back up that claim, also they are the youngest group in WACK and hence their insecurity of being the underdog, when you think ‘Idol’ they might actually be the farthest from the concept, since apparently Love is allowed in this group and one even apparently has herself a boyfriend!

But that’s not even the gotcha part of the group! No, that is saved for their Battle Cry, which while at first it might sound like they are yelling out their group name, in fact there is a hidden NO-NO in there! It’s so well hidden Yukirin did not even catch it and she was gang-ho about doing it but just like her, I too totally missed it!

That is, instead of saying “PARADISES” it’s actually “PARADI-SEX”

That’s right, they yell out sex as their motivational cry!

Like, I can’t even…

When Yukirin got to join them, they had to censor that part because…um…hello!

Yeah, I am still not over that one!

Moving on to GO TO THE BEDS, as some might be aware, they are a sub-group of GANG PARADE, which was broken up into two group and the members who had been in that group the longest are the ones who make up GO TO THE BEDS!

The group is apparently so bad the Producer himself thinks that for Yukirin, it would be the group she least wanted to be a part of! And they do bring a plate of madness to back up the claims when Meganekko – I love those, which is why Atsuko is my favourite in BiSH and now YUi GA DOCKSON is my favourite in GO TO THE BEDS – Anyway, YUi gets herself not only voice-mosaic’d but face mosaic’d too, when she was explaining the worst thing she did (Because this is a BAD group, get it?).

I was so shocked I even forgot to be pissed that I did not find out what she had done due to all the censoring! Seriously, if anyone knows what she is referring to, you have my permission to let me know, ASAP!

But, like I said in the beginning, this is all seemingly! Just like PARADISES is seemingly the most Idol-like under WACK, GO TO THE BEDS is also seemingly the worst, well, at least where this video is concerned!

First off their ‘CALL’! It is the purest of all that we have heard so far! There is no horniness here and all there is is pure passion, and just like Yukirin, I too found their call the most motivational! Sure it was the most cult-like but damn, I wouldn’t mind joining this cult! Let’s play that gif…

Truly…Chef’s Kiss!

Yeah, I think I am liking Yukirin in GTTB more and more, almost as much as her in BiSH! I think CoCo was onto something there when she was yelling ‘At HOME AT HOME’ when Watanabe-sensei was saying that Yukirin wouldn’t want to join this group the most! It actually seems like she would fit in best in here! And really, if she is to fulfil her goal of changing, what better way than the most WACK group of them all!

But that’s not all, just like BiSH, Yukirin has fans here! So much so in fact that they even could perform TEMO DEMO NO NAMIDA! On in fact even went to the Handshake and unlike before, it was for Yukirin!

Yeah, the seeds are already in place!

This truly is going to be madness! Yukirin in these groups!! Like, that is something no one could have ever seen coming! This is like one of those 1 in a billion chances!

Seriously, I never knew I could love Yukirin any more than I already did but here we are! My Goddess is out there pulling power moves on top of supporting her own group, and speaking of which, in case someone did not know…

AKB48 are having a concert, an actual concert, first in a long time, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the group and guess who is in charge? That’s right, Yukirin! And she’s in charge for more than just choosing the setlist!

Seriously, AKB doesn’t deserve her! She’s done so much already and still not even a solo centre single to her name!

For shame!

Anyway, life finds a way and just like Zack Snyder is finally getting his Justice from all the WB injustices, Yukirin too is getting her justice outside the group!

You love to see it!

Transferring / 転校生

Short Films sometime they are simply the best! They have a special place in my movie-loving heart because they are so swift in their attacks to the heart and usually leave you with a hole that will for sure leave you dreaming about the different scenarios in which you could take the story! And this one in particular is…WAIT A DAMN MINUTE! IS THAT…?!

Why of course it is!!! The ever lovely Aoi-chan!!! In all seriousness, I don’t think I have watched a Celeb’s works as many as I have seen hers! She’s like, in my brain, in my face, in my eyes…as Dakota would put it!

When I finally recognised her I was like, she looks young though, what gives?! Turns out that this Short Film was made way back in 2012!!! That’s like, even before SCHOOL GIRL COMPLEX!!!

Yeah, I just totally failed once again! I think I should change my name to Black Fail Gekikara at this rate!

As for what this Short 20min film is all about, just like it says on the tin, this is about a Transfer Student – Risa (Matsuda Riko) who transfers to Yoko’s (Aoi-chan) school! With only that the movie had my complete attention because we all know the trope! The Transfer Student will get close to the main character and so on and so forth!

But what hits right in the FEELs is that this transfer is not permanent! In fact this is the shortest transfer period I have ever heard! Yoko was in this school for just a week!!!! Like, what even!!!!

What makes that really hit hard is the fact that you never think it was that short! I mean, no one could have imagined such a short stay in the first place so no one was prepared when we hear it in the end but that’s just scratching the surface!

I am not sure what the deal is with Yoko’s situation but she isn’t close with her classmates despite her looks (maybe it is because of them?!) So when Risa comes to the school Yoko is already all alone so that made sense that she would seek out to befriend the new girl!

Only the new girl is not like other transfer students because she is not looking to make friends! In fact she makes it known first thing that she is not going to get close to anyone and she doesn’t even try!

This attitude makes you wonder but eventually, due to Yoko’s persistence, they get close but just when things are looking up, just after that cute scene where Risa made an effort to ask Yoko out on a date to go watch the movie based off the books she had been reading all this time, something that seems quite personal to her, of course the climax happens!

Suddenly Risa is acting strange and later on the way home she cancels their date which of course means a falling out and we are all left like, really!?!

Next day in class we find out why! Risa is already moving and she would not have made it to the day of the date even she she wanted to and now we know that she moves very often even if this was the shortest period she had stayed in the same place.

We now know what she never wants to get close to anyone when she transfers schools! Imagine making new friends only to always say goodbye to them!

Yeah, only Akemi Homura can relate!

As you might expect that hit Yoko hard and worse still is the fact that the time she finds out what was going on is the time that Risa has to leave, meaning that she did not even get time to make up with her before she left…or did she!?!

You see, there is this ting of theirs where Yoko reverse psyched Risa’s words of telling her to stay away “Do not follow me” into actually meaning the opposite, which is how they got close in the first place, by Risa following Yoko to her home after countlessly pestering her with her own words!

When Risa is giving her goodbye speech to the class and she had finished saying why she doesn’t try to get close to people, she turns to Yoko and says “That’s why you should not follow me” before leaving the school!

But as she leaves the school, and as you might expect, she cries, probably the first time in a long while she hard, and the movie ends by her turning around  as if someone was following her!

Yeah, definitely not Yoko doing their thing and actually following Risa on the contrary!

Yeah, tots FEELs in here!!!

Like, talk about a treasure trove of fan fiction ideas to accompany this story! You can write one that fills in the gaps during their time together or write countless routes that the ending could have taken!

Yeah sure the end result is still Risa leaving but the possibilities of what happens before they had to go…

Yeah, I miss writing fiction!
