Japan’s Answer to Lily Fever!

So, I finally got my grabby hands on all episodes of this cute series so I figured it is about time I posted about it. As we know episode 01 has been available for a while now on YouTube (kink at the end) but the other episodes have been a nightmare to find. I think currently there are about three on YT subbed in Thai, or was that Indo? I can’t remember.

Anyway, I had to go directly to the AbemaTV site and get things done myself if I wanted good quality and less watermarks. Thankfully it was possible, so I…keep a careful eye out. There are six episodes in total, in case anyone did not know.

Sadly, the other series I just posted about at an AI with Ikeda, is proving to be quite the challenge finding the rest of the episodes. yes, apparently there are four more but getting them was difficult. At this rate I am just going to pray that DAA delivers! But seeing as it is a web series of sorts, in that it is an on-demand series, chances of getting it are at the minimum!

You all remember, just last year, that I was praying that more competent Directors would take on LGBT projects after Mr Park Chan-wook gave us the Award Winning Ahgassi/The Handmaiden?!!! Just last year!!! And we already have that wish of mine answered!

God is in Heaven and Almost all is right with the world!

Yeah, I have had one interesting weekend but that won’t make it here. If you are interested, go to my twitter feed (look to the left of the page). But be warned, I was…still am kind of out of it so there might be some censoring needed.

No, we are here to talk about this new trailer that just dropped! Interestingly I saw this when I went to watch Justice League so more things that are interesting that came out of this weekend.

Tis is looking to be the Feminism at MAXIMUM kind of movie. The trailer is already eye-roll inducing but that can be excused in favour of the other important theme which is same sex relationships. So not only is the movie tackling Feminism issues, which I think will take up most of the plot (It is in the title for crying out loud), there will also be the LGBT issue and we shall just have to wait and see if they will have the guts to tackle both issues head on and not let the Lesbianism go un-scrutinised in the background.

Our Leading Lady Emma Stone’s character already touched upon this in the trailer, about how she can’t have the things she loves because of her dreams but that is not telling at all.

Yes, I am aware that The Handmaiden did not touch that issue but that was different. The issue of people of the same sex not loving one another did not seem to be relevant at all but here, if the issue of Feminism is so strongly evident, then the LGBT should also be at the fore front and it has to come up as a bump in the road of Emma’s character fighting for gender equality! Can you imagine if a dick of a character that is Steven’s caught wind of that?!

But judging by the Directors and the Writer, and thinking of the fact that The Handmaiden and Moonlight, movies cherished and winning awards exist, then my hopes are high!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have another Super quality GAY movie coming our way and this almost erases all the stuff that has happened in the last 48 hours!

I can’t wait…

I’m sorry, I can’t hold it in anymore!  It’s been a few days already! JL is only a day away and I just have to talk about the thing that is MAYUKI’s graduation before I totally combust or go into hibernation mode!

No, this is not the TDC situation all over again!

Yes, I am sad, very much so for Yukirin and fellow fans that stan Mayuyu. I am also very happy for Mayuyu and hope for her success in her future! Yes, I cried during the concert! All is as it should be in that regard but this is not that post!

The yuri story that we deserve but first, credit where credit is due!

Did you fall in love with Ikeda Elaiza watching ‘Boku wa Mari no Naka’? Did you feel robbed when you first get to know her in such a disheartening queer-bait of a story? Well, you are not alone! Either way you choose to look at it, our girl of the year (other than Gal of course) went out of her way to cleanse us new fans of hers by giving us two series that ran back to back. When this show was airing (beginning of last month), ‘Boku wa’ was also airing at the same time, still is in fact.

Our girl did not have to, but she did anyway. She decided to give us another ‘off the books’ series, so to speak, one that actually has yuri, unlike that despicable ‘Boku wa’. I truly hate that show with a passion! But despite my feelings towards the story, I can’t deny that the girls were brilliant in it, especially Elaiza! I have so fallen in love with her since then and I was turning the interwebs hunting for more relevant works of hers when I stumbled upon this gem!

It’s always next week, isn’t it!? When I decide to not watch the previews, I always end up getting disappointed. But when I do, things like this happen!

Next week…damn it all. I guess I am going to re-watch the AKBINGO version while I wait for next week. And we really have to talk about the Hiragana Keyaki!
