BEST END!

So, I was just going through my collection when I realised that despite writing about the first episode, aptly titled ‘PILOT’, I never actually talked about the conclusion to Bill and Heather’s relationship other than a short video of their reunion!

Now, there is a good explanation about this, well, kinda! But I guess it is mostly my fault for waiting so long after the last episode of the 10^th season to write that post! Something happened between that period that turned me off enough that I ended up not writing about the ending to the season.

Actually, now that I think about it, I am just going to ignore anything that has to do with Bill after Season 10 because as far as I am concerned, Bill and Heather’s story ended with episode 12 of Season 10.

Seriously like, that episode had the best conclusion to Bill and Heather that I can imagine so it boggles my mind how someone just sat there and thought…you know what, how about we totally screw that ending over and the lots of fans who were behind this relationship?!

Oh great, there I go again totally doing something I said I wouldn’t!

Anyway the ending to Bill and Heather in season 10 was just so perfect! Everything came full circle! We all thought it that Heather would eventually come back to Bill and I knew it would be when she most needed her and they did not disappoint! Just when Bill was in an impossible situation (you can’t turn back once you become a cyberman) Heather came in on her white horse, sword swinging and totally saved the day!

In doing so she fulfilled her promise to Heather never to leave her and while she did when Bill asked in episode 1 in order to set her free, Heather still was with Bill when she left her tears behind, which called her back in the end as Bill reached her most sorrowful state.

In addition, she also fulfilled the promise of taking Bill with her were she to leave. In addition, that ending totally proved the existence of true love! Love that is eternal. Love that transcends time and space and all that other stuff! They already proved this before of course in episode one when the Doctor travelled millions of years into the future and Heather was still there, still able to find Bill, still loving her!

God, this reminds me of Homura and Madoka and how she never forgot her promise even the many months of horror she had to go through!

Then there is the fact that Heather became the most advanced ship in the universe (more than the TARDIS even). She can go anywhere, she can do virtually anything and she is her own pilot! But just like all ships, they need a passenger and who wanted to go anywhere else because she too did not belong as much as Bill did? Also don’t forget she asked Heather once if she could take her with wherever she was going! They are essentially perfect for one another!

The bottom line is that they had gotten the best ending possible! It was like, the best complete relationship on Doctor Who! It was a moment of triumph for the community! Imagine being represented like that in a fan favourite show that is Doctor Who!

But then they had to go and…
