>.<
Before we go any further even, I want to say how telling the fact that Nodoka was there only by herself to see Saki during the break! It’s like since last season, everyone knows how these two are and thus know to give them their space like as if they were a couple or something! And really, with the way all the little things are telling, it might as well be true.
Let’s start with that very same scene actually during episode 10. Seeing Nodocchi offering Saki a drink like that like a waifu would a husband, I totally melted! And that smile on Saki’s face, so one that someone gives to their most precious person! Seriously, look at it!
Then as Saki enjoys that drink, that somehow tastes way better than the usual orange juice she drinks, Nodoka is all like, so you feeling gud?! I was like WAAAAA! It wasn’t like the way the other teams ask their girls if they are okay when they know there is something bothering the other.
No, here Nodoka knows Saki is okay, Saki’s face says it and even the lack of actual concern shows on Nodoka’s face so it was like, she was just being a lover, someone who will care for their other half even when the worry is un-called for because, you know, it’s her responsibility to care!
I just…
Then the actual moment. Saki turns to leave and I know it is such a no-thing to pay attention to but the way she casually gave back the cup and how Nodoka accepted it so casually really got to me as well! I just can’t put a finger on it but it felt really…homey!
And then as Saki turns to go back to start on the 2nd round of her match, Nodocchi stops her with some stuttering of a needless promise but now that is sure to put more confidence and drive in Saki, of promising that the two of them should go to the semis together.
Can you like…And is it just me or is Saki suddenly cool! Seriously, it’s as if she went from Aoi-tan (HKT48) levels of girlie to Sayanee levels of cool! There is only one explanation – Love!
And let’s so not forget that moment from the last episode (09) where the two passed by each other as Nodoka came back while it was Saki’s turn to the match. They did that slow-mo thing with everything needing to be said communicated through their eyes!
Goodness gracious! They are already at that level!?! Damn~
Any way, as for the matches, Kiyosumi is actually still lacking in the shadows while the other schools are pulling out all their cards! I guess it is a good strategy. Better they lay low and only release the monster within when necessary lest they be targeted like Kagoshima’s Eisui was.
Speaking of Kagoshima, I was hoping they would roar, and while they seemed to have had monsters among them, looks like they were the target of many other schools so they got cornered. I hope the only girl left from their team (who really reminds me of my Goddess) is going to shine next episode. And if the ending of this episode is anything to go by, she will shine.
But hopefully she doesn’t rattle the chains holding Saki in place too much. Best let sleeping monsters lie, eh?

Took you long enough to talk about this pairing.

Not too long. Nothing has been happening with them so far. Actually for some reason this season is less gay than usual. I guess if we want action we have to sacrifice something, eh…

No complaints on my part.
