Oh man, Saki is taking no prisoners in this second season! But un-fortunately, even though we jumped a day to get to the day if the 1st matches, looks like we shall have to wait two weeks at least for the first match as this second season is actually like 100% continuation of the 1st! Everything is the same, which I guess is good since I loved how Saki used to swivel us back to the past. They do it better than any other series to be truthful. At least they don’t spend whole episodes to flash back!

And Saki’s flashbacks are important in that they give us more information on the characters and you can’t help but support them in their match. It is frustrating at times but also not un-necessary. Like the flashback in this episode covered the events we missed during the training camp that took place at the end of the first season so it made the episode interesting to say the least.

 
 

 
 
 
 

Ah~ All that awesome Saki/Nodoka poeple, so good!

I have just said it but this season is like a second half of the first in that they even kept Saki and Nodoka’s relationship progress from the first season intact here. They are more like a couple now since that awesome Festival episode where they finally settled into their relationship.

They look at each other with these eyes. Eyes that only couples would have. No more awkwardness from season one pre-call me by my name festival! Even the other members seem to know this, like how Cap was sneakily trying to get them to hold hands as a way to keep Saki from getting lost again ^^

Yeah, I hear there is a couple of yuri this season, some who might be even more lilicious than Saki/Nodoka but for me, this is the couple of the season! I am going to remember Saki and Nodoka by the end of this year!

 

Speaking of Cap, you know what this relationship reminds me of? Schoolgirl Complex! LOL. But un-like there, I am not sure who to whip with Cap here Hmm…

 
 

Hand of Poseidon ‘s daughter!

On of the reasons why I like this episode’s flashback. Just as I thought, there had to be something else about Touka. Her and Koromo reminded me of Honoka and Setsuna. There is no way she was so powerful, well her family, and powerful families that have monsters like Koromo, usually have an even more deadly monster in their first daughters and sons.

So I was kind of not surprised by this reveal to Touka. Too bad it’s a bit late. Then again, her rival is Nodoka not Saki and we have yet to see Nodoka’s power! I really doubt a character whose importance is only second to Saki’s, only because the series is SAKI, I doubt she would be just a normal character in this sea of monsters. She has to have a hidden/yet to be recognised power lying dormant within that boundful bosom of hers! And when I saw this tease scene of the next episode…

I just can’t help but think I might be onto something. And really, this is the season where her power is gonna be needed, if she has any. Saki is gonna be in the deep by her self within this monstrous battlefield ahead of them so Nodoka is really needed. And after Achiga hen, still not yet watched >.<, putting emphasis on Nodoka, this is gonna take the combined power of the couple to get them through this, especially with the new found determination of Saki’s.

Not to mention that Nodoka seems to have quite a few barrels aimed at her boobies this time around so she is gonna have to step up her game. Also the only way to fight Touka if she ever brought out her father’s inherited abilities of the sea, is if she was equally as good, bad, monstrous. Monsters fight monsters and all that.

Then again, Nodoka might just be the only pure person among them. And since no human can fight them monsters, only other kind that can is Angels, am I right. And really, Nodoka is already an Angel so…
