その時、ハートは盗まれた Sono Toki Haato wa Nusumareta
If you have seen a couple of old Jdrama, you and I can both agree to at least one thing –
Japan sure isn’t making them like they used to anymore!
The 90’s were the bomb! well, and the 80s of course (Can’t forget about Sukeban Deka). The most memorable for me were Glass Mask and this one. While Glass Mask wasn’t much more than goggles friendly, there is no doubt that Mayumi and Maya were so totally shippable…until down the road when things turned to Titanic!
This was 1997, I guess things started to fall apart then because by the end of that drama, I can’t tell you WTF happened to Maya x Ayumi chemistry that was so driving the series! Not only did things go out of whack but the actress for Ayumi changed! I guess she couldn’t handle the bull-plot anymore! But I am getting off track here…
Let’s step back in time a little bit. In fact as far back as to when my Goddess Yukirin was just a little thing of one year old! To those who are missing out on life this means that this drama aired in 1992!
Wow, that’s a long time ago!
It is as such in fact that I find it pretty respectable that Japan aired such a drama at that time! And let me tell you this isn’t like these latest yuri dramas where everything is half-baked like the ‘should have been golden’ Last Friends which shied away from what would’ve been the best ending – a Haruka x Michiru ending!
Nope, in Sono Toki Haato wa Nusumareta, or as I like to short it – Sono Hatsu, The ending was damn reminiscent of KanaMiko in that in the triangle of a girl and boy chasing the other girl, the girl won the race just as Chikane beat Souma’s butt!
What hooked me to this drama on the get go was Isshiki Sae as the lead! As soon as the drama began and it seemed it would be in her POV, I was screaming like a crazy resident! Seriously, she was so damn funny-tastic as the lead that I didn’t fail to grin like an idiot every now and then! No, all three mains, even the supporting character were just so perfect for their roles it was as if the series itself was built around their real characters. Only bad actor was the uncle! He was just like all these actors in JDramas nowadays – So superficial!
Other than him, everyone else was just brilliant. The series was only 5 episodes long but it felt like you grew with the characters as they so awesomely did themselves in those wonderful five episodes that it felt like the series ran for months!
Seriously, I cannot praise this drama enough! And yes, I am being serious! I have spent a lot of money to get the VHS (No DVDs >.<) for this which surprisingly could only be found in china! – I am disappoint Japan~ Seriously, It cost me 70 euro to get that shitty quality with Chinese subs which I could have gotten from their popular streaming site. I am still looking for a raw and better quality for this so if there are any local Japan residents reading this ( I am looking at you Shirou) please do help me out. I don’t care how much I spend. I love this series that much!
And with that, you will excuse me for the eye-cancer you might receive from the following caps and the annoying subs!
