Farewell, My Queen
And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen…France strikes once again.
Lesbian Queen? Count on France to never hold back on morals, almost as fiercely as Korea does Romance or Japan does Horror…i.e – No holds-barred!
Just the trailer by itself is such an intense 2½ minutes that it basically says to ‘subtext – “Back the hell off. Just ‘text’ is enough.”
And it is telling the truth because even if this trailer was just a blank screen with voices, with dialogue like this…
…who needs subtext goggles!
France only rarely strikes but when it does…It really does strike!
I can still see Martyrs behind my eyelids even to this day three years later, as if I just saw it this morning!
Yep, totally adding this to my collection come BD release!

Hi, long time no see… Welcome back.(I only realized that you are back since today, oops)
I watched film in the theater, it’s definitely a must watch if you like history and lesbianism. (Thank god I like both)
I’ve been waiting for a new Marie Antoinette film for ages and then they come with this?? It was certainly a dream come true. FYI, I also read the book.
The book is a bit more subtle about the lesbianism but it’s definitely there.
Diane Kruger and Virginie Ledoyen are both very charismatic and beautiful woman, they sure are a pleasure to see together.
If you can watch it at a cinema near your house I would most definitely recommend you seeing it.

Thank you Windmill,
Sadly, I have no idea whether and when it will show her…
Sigh
And wait, there is a book? I guess I will be reading that first.
Didn’t know it was based on a book. Dear Amazon, don’t let me down…

Uhhh, I think it’s been obvious for quite a while that the East is much more open to lesbian media than the West, despite the laws not being so different.
