I don’t even know where to start! Oh wait, I know!

I know I am ripping my own fic off but I don’t care. I will say it again here because Wheels…ehem…I mean Kagari, just went and proved me right big time on this one.

Love is like an experimental drug!

Kagari was the perfect subject to test this drug on. She clearly showed all the side effects and then some.Two episodes in and to me, the OVA looks like child’s play compared to this revamp!

Even though I am very scared at the same time, but we shall be getting to that. I was also happy to see that my little theory on Mato and her obsession with Yomi’s name was actually spot on!

I believe I believe I said it before but I will say it again…Mato’s Mom is super hot! Not in the kind of hot that most think of with a sexy bod, boobs the size of heads and waists you can wrap your fingers around, nope, my kind of hot is this kind of hot, short wild hair, kind of a DFC, a little rough around the edges. That’s my kind of woman and Mato’s Mom is just like so. The episode opens up with her helping Mato into her yukata as she gets ready for the festival. Her date with Yomi is still on and even though she is scared of Kagari still, actually she is just scared of being hated by anyone not specifically of Kagari, Mato’s feelings for Yomi trumps all over those fears! She will go to that festival even if she has to crawl there or face the shame that will come when she meets her classmates, that she had dumped when they invited her, there.

The little bro is also as annoying as always! Them brats, they are always so troublesome, I should know, I have one too! You think Mato will have time for anything else, least of all bothering you? Dude she will be too busy sexing colours with Yomi to even notice they hadn’t done anything else at all other than just sitting there on the steps staring into each other’s eyes for the whole evening! We are dumped into the Ether world where BRS is still running for her life from the Nightmare on Elm Chariot! Girl, no matter who you think you’re, you are still walking on two legs. You can never outrun the four legged Chariot on wheels. Not that the race was a fair one! I am pretty sure shooting macaroons at your opponents is illegal! So what if there is no rule that forbids it! What are you Chariot, a kid?! Oh wait…

BRS is losing, no thanks to those stupid macaroons, but luck fairs the good so she gets her opportunity when they are both ridden off a cliff. Chariot is as vulnerable in mid-air as an egg to concrete and so BRS gets ready to finish things off. She was forgetting someone though. Big mistake buddy!

Lovely lovely Dead Master comes to Chariot’s rescue, yet again and BRS finds herself under chain wraps, yet again. I swear these two are into some sick sh…I mean S & M. I actually want to count from now on how many times BRS will be chained up by Dead Master! Any ways DM manipulates the chains a little, almost as if they were an extension of her body, and brings them face to face.

They so want each other so very bad!

Awesome OP is awesome! And OMG!!!!!! Dead Master is still as Alpha as %$&*! And it also looks like she will be attaining her buddies from the Underworld if this OP is anything to go by! OMG, I can’t wait for the true Dead Master to make her appearance. And with the events of this episode, I don’t think I will have to wait that long for her to rise to her full glory, or won’t I. Damn you BGS!

The other thing interesting about this OP are the other major players. After the change with Yuu in the first episode, I was starting to over-think things as I wondered what this meant for Strength but I guess I had nothing to worry about as this episode sends us some signals that left my worries to a lower level regarding Yuu.

It also seems like the anime promises some kind of arcs for Chariot, Dead Master, Strength and BGS (Black Gold Saw). I am very worried as to how they are going to cramp all this in just the eight episodes. I mean it’s been two episodes already and Chariot’s story  has yet to be concluded, at least I hope to all the gods that’s it’s not but I will explain myself later.

By sequence, Dead Master should be up next but unless I am being blinded by my love for this being, I had an inkling that her and BRS would be the core subject, their relationship any way, would be the core of this whole story. Does this mean all the others will just be parts of gears that drive the BRS/DM machine?! Will Dead Master and BRS be at each others’ throats till the end of the series because of the factors that are the other three?! I hope so. I sure do.

Everyone is all over BGS like ants to a wild dog (pun very intended) but I have my eye on her. Her actions in this episode left me frowning and I almost went Kagari on her ass in the presence of Mato at what she did upon her arrival. Any how, she seems to be BRS’s nemesis and probably will be the last Boss!

Then there is Strength. And here is where I am kind of lost. Okay, with the OVA in the mix, the points all connect to Yuu but what is this new Volleyball Captain then? She is almost the same build as Yuu and their personalities not so far apart so…Well, Yuu’s hair colour is the nearest to Strength’s so I guess 2:1 for her then. Is she then just another character? In my BRS anime? Me think not! Shall have to keep an eye on her too.

 
  
 
 

 
 

After the OP, we find ourselves waiting for our date with Mato on the shrine steps. I don’t even want to think of exactly how long Mato had to wait at that place for! Did she even use the little room? I doubt it! When her classmates came by, I felt so much for her. I wonder how she was feeling right about then! And then the reactions from her friends after she told then who she was waiting for were kind of brow-raising. I wonder what they know? It couldn’t possibly be that they knew Yomi, right? So were their reaction to Mato going to the festival with Yomi by them selves? Were they…

An ways Mato watches as the sky changes colour by the passing of time and sends some more messages to Yomi wondering when she will get there. Oh Mato you simpleton! Surely you don’t think that she will show up after minutes, then hours still? I know you have it bad but still…

The reply came much later when the sun had already even set. And then the stupid fireworks chose right at that moment to start. Like, KY much! This scene was actually very telling. In the exact same place at the exact same time, people were so happy, while on the other hand Mato was at her most miserable! I tell you, life is such a…Then watching her walking home at night by her lonesome! I swear I felt my heart bleeding. And it didn’t even need help of piercing with needles!

“No matter how much it hurts you aren’t the one that’s actually hurting?!” Who passed you on your psychology tests Saya?!! You dare lie to these little girls?! If even I in a different dimension could feel Mato’s pain, how the hell do you think she felt! Damn you! I hope you really are BGS ‘cause I want to see you experience some pain of your own then we shall see about these theories of yours!

 
 
 



 

As if to answer all our questions as to why Yomi had stood us up, we are taken to the Takanashi Mansion and we are greeted by a scene of some wild dog being devoured by a mass of ants! Lesson of the day, To hell with High ground, Numbers OWN!

Anyways, Kagari is laughing her ass off at the sickening display while Yomi buries her sorrows in her sewing of a new wrist band to replace the one she gave to Mato. Hmmm, soon they will have matching pair? Awesome! I am very much looking forward to that proper proposal Yomi!

For me, it was here that I actually started seeing Kagari in a new light. In the first episode she came off as just another villain but seeing her here, I began to have some doubts that led to the change of heart at the end of this episode. First clue was when Yomi was pouting that Mato hadn’t contacted her again. What, you were expecting a message every other minute? I am pretty sure Mato sent you enough. Which was driven home by Kagari confirming that Mato had just sent her message just moments before. This is where I raised an eyebrow. I was looking forward to Kagari going all Rambo on Yomi for thinking of Mato all the time but it looks like if there is no Mato, Kagari is sane.

Well, at least I thought so until Yomi broke down crying saying that she wanted to go to that festival so badly. This of course was like lighting a match in a room full of volatile Kagari gas! And there she was trying to feed Yomi some delicious pink Macaroon too! Sigh, Yomi, when will you learn? Do we have to curve a heart into your chest for you to get it?

Kagari does just that! She actually curves a heart with a pin into Yomi’s chest!!!

Yep, we are on the same page!

And I hope I speak for everyone when I say that I had a completely different kind of scene that would follow in my head just moments before the pin incident. Kagari was being all nice as she held a crying Yomi in her arms then trailed a finger on the side of her face and the way the camera zoom in on that angle I was all ready for some major kissage. To top it all off with some delicious toffee cream, Kagari orders Yomi to strip! I was like, Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa??!!

But then…the damned PIN happened!

I would’ve even settled for Yomi being forced to go down on Kagari but the frikking PIN! I want to shout out with all my Nicholas Cage voice in The Wicker Man by saying…

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT THE PIN!!! ANYTHING BUT THE PIN!!!!!!

Dead Master is making BRS kiss her shoes! Really these two! At least now we know where Dead Master got all her Sadistic tricks from and how Mato is an expert at Masochism, huh? Thank you TV fro bringing us Wheels-chan!

BRS is at the mercy of Dead Master’s chains and does that Mistress know how to use those things or what! If BRS is getting OWN’d by just them things, how will she fair when she not only has to deal with them but with a frikking Scythe and the two Creepy-chans?! I await more of this S&M game from you both but for the meantime, I shall enjoy this.

And damn it all, I so want to be under Dead Master’s boot too! Stupid BRS, she gets all the fun! Hmph

As we know, Yomi and Dead Master are connected, though in this TV version, it isn’t clear how exactly they are connected. Any ways, Yomi’s voice starts to cry out for help, even though Dead Master’s mouth doesn’t move. Actually I don’t remember Wheel’s mouth moving either. I guess they use telepathy in this world to communicate? It’s like Dead Master is trying to send BRS some kind of message.

Dead Master gets to taste some beating of her own from BRS. I guess they are into the same kind of thing because DM looked almost happy after that brief beating. Hmmm. The voice still calls out and BRS pauses as she sees the heart mark on Dead Master’s chest! I guess the night of curving has already passed in the real world.

BRS can’t take that look that is directed at her. Anything but that look! She can’t resist the charm of the Master Dead so she lowers her guard only she made yet another mistake! When will you learn that you are messing in a relationship BRS?! A relationship takes two and the other partner in this  exact relationship is Wheels-chan, you dope!

But, it’s not Chariot who makes her presence known but the damned ants! You’ve gotta fear the power of them ants! Not only did they outrun BRS, in a race for Yomi to boot, well I guess having two legs is really a handicap, but them ants show even more skill when they produce a bed for Dead Master and whisk her away like some forbidden relationship guy crushing a wedding and snatching the bride away with him! BRS had no chance but to remain on the altar by her lonesome! I am kind of disappoint really. How can you lose to some ants like!

Mato wakes up from a bad dream in a sweat, only that bad dream was the events that we just witnessed with Dead Master and BRS with someone crying out for help. From the yukata left on the floor, it is the day after which sees us to school, in the locker rooms to be exact! It is most probably due to their minds that are over-flowing with thoughts, deep thoughts that by the end, it is just Mato and Yomi left.

While Mato takes the opportunity to sneak a look at a undressing Yomi, she doesn’t get to enjoy the view of the marvellous rack of Yomi’s because right above said rack is that heart mark curved right into her flesh! Yomi hides away in shame not wanting Mato to see her like that. Mato comes close and asks what happened but Yomi is not spilling. She instead wonders why Mato is not mad at her for ditching their date yesterday.

Mato finally breaks though. If Yomi wants her to be mad she will be mad and so she fires all her feelings out without holding back. And here, ladies and gentlemen, is where I somehow, no, most definitely want to gloat by laughing out loud…HA! HA!

Mato says to Yomi that she was mistaken. She had thought Yomi would be the one to take her to the world of colours. She had believed Yomi to be that bird that plays but she was wrong! Yomi is not Taka-nashi (No Hawks) but Konjou-nashi (No guts) Yomi. Yomi is taken aback but she looks plenty happy to me for some reason. these two really are Masochists!

YES!

I so called it last episode. I so did! I knew Mato’s obsession with Yomi’s name had this kind of reason behind it. So she wants to be taken to worlds unknown by Yomi?! Tohoho, fear not Mato, I can assure you that you will be seeing all kinds of rainbows in no time, at least I hope so. Let’s just pray you didn’t just mess up during that other moment. But I am getting ahead here.

Mato runs all over the hallways still fuming some more and guess where her run takes her…Yep, to Saya-sensei’s room of problems! But Oh! Here is another turning point that raised my eyebrow. There, she finds Yuu. Though they didn’t touch upon her, just like the Basket ball Cap, I got wondering. So Yuu has problems of the heart as well? Not that much time has passed since Mato started stalking Yomi so it possibly can’t be that she has avoidance issues with Mato so soon. So, what’s the crack?I guess we shall have to wait for her story to find out.

Any ways Ms Shrink advises Mato on the meaning of her dream. Really Mato, are you going to be telling this woman everything?! Any way, Saya-sensei tells us that dreams of close people can be of meaning in a way that they send messages that they wouldn’t otherwise through dreams. With her thoughts guided some, Mato wastes no time in paying the Takanashi mansion a unwelcome visit. Inside, Yomi is breaking away at the unfairness of it all as she looks to the Bird of Colours. her tears are interrupted by Mato sounding the door bell. Though Yomi was kind of scared for a moment there, when she saw that Mato still had the Bird of Colours phone strap, her spirits lifted and I have to say if she was that kind of girl, she would have skipped her way down the stairs to the door.

She was that happy!

Only to step right into a painful trap just as she left her room for, there by the stairs, Wheels-chan awaited her! I was waiting for Yomi to collapse on her knees right there at the unfairness of it all. I know I cursed some at this! So much so that I heard knocking at my door!

Apparently Kagari had been lurking in the house all this time since morning and Yomi didn’t even know about it, heh! She totally took the title from many wannabe lurkers out there! Kagari threatens to fall down the stairs if that will make Yomi completely hers and make her  forget about  Mato. That’s how deep Wheels-chan’s love for Yomi is. She will do absolutely anything to be with her and then some, that we shall get back to later on but for now, something simple like falling down the stairs ain’t no thing to Kagari.

So she does just that! She falls down the stairs!

Miraculously, she only comes away with a sprained wrist, we learn later at the hospital where Mato is having a chart with a really warn out Takanashi Mama. Seeing the opportunity, Mato asks about Kagari’s injury and what it has to do with Yomi. Takanashi Mama takes us on a trip back in time during Yomi’s baby days (Can’t really say childhood since she is still like, in first year of middle school). The Takanashi family used to move a lot due to Takanashi Papa’s job and Kagari having had a crush on Yomi since she was born, (More props for Wheels-chan here from me) One time she couldn’t handle Yomi moving once again so she ran after their car.

Then reality happened.

Except that Kagari was actually saved and she can walk. The problem is the drug she took called Takanashi Yomi psychological and of the heart in that she loves Yomi so damn much that her life came to literally depend on Yomi.

Wow, Just…WOW! Now I have come across the deepest of love but never have i encounter one on this kind of level! Haters will hate Wheels-chan but she just beat lines of couples in the measure of how deep their feelings go. This is where I really changed my feelings in regards to Kagari and understood why Yomi would put up with her. That kind of love, even if it’s all kinds of unhealthy, to have some one feel that strongly for you…I can only think of one other love that kind of resembles this one but even as I think it, Kagari is in a league of her own here. And yeah, I was thinking of Homurun-chan.

When Mato learns that Kagari wasn’t actually that physically hurt, she fumes at the silliness of it all. Why does Yomi have to suffer for something that wasn’t her fault?! She refuses to leave the hospital unless Yomi came with her.

Oh Mato, you still have much to learn dear apprentice. Wheels-chan is way ahead of you in this game. You just don’t know how feelings work. Okay, I can see you getting blinded by your first budding love but still…Get the Memo. I am sure Takanashi Mama is not an idiot for letting things be as they are.

Totally ignoring Takanashi Mama, Mato runs over to Kagari’s room to drug Yomi out of there if she had too. Seriously, what is this?! It’s like some kind of soap dramas you see on day light TV. Can you like imagine the feelings going on in this scene with Mato trying to convince Yomi, who in turn doesn’t know what to do but knows leaving Kagari is out of the question and all the while watching as Kagari also fires back trying her best to fend off the monster that is trying to steal everything that is of meaning to her?!

So much drama in one setting, no wonder we need two worlds to resolve these kinds of issues. There is no way for these girls to come to an understanding otherwise. And I can assure you that this is not because I am a Dead Master worshipper and thus Yomi comes with the package but I spit on the image other people are giving to Yomi. She is not only in the middle of this mess that’s been going on for Lord knows how long so she deserves many props for not breaking down yet from it all. She is not weak. She is actually very strong. I know. She refuses to take an easy way out and is tying to find the right way to resolve things.

I admire her for this.

Which is why I wasn’t screaming for her to get to the damn door and run off hand in hand with Mato because Kagari is still in the picture. Kagari is her problem, or she is Kagari’s problem or…Arg, I am confusing myself here so I shall drop this an get back on track.

Kagari is going completely bonkers at the appearance of this devil’s advocate that suddenly showed up in her life and made it even bumpier than usual. And so the two fight for their love who for the life of us, we shall never know what truly is going on in her heart during the midst of this chaos.

Well I guess we know some of her feelings because all through this, Yomi has a smile on her face even though there are tears in her eyes. She has either finally snapped or she is totally getting off on the idea of being the centre of all this crazy attention. Oh Yomi you sadistic girl, I can now totally see why you are Dead Master personified!

 
 


 
 

You’ve gotta give it to the animators for picking this exact moment to take us in the Ether world where we cut to BRS still running after Dead Master. I guess the Church wasn’t that amusing without her waifu to be after all.

She ends up in one of the Macaroon warehouses where she finds that ugly doll that Kagari gave to Mato on their first meeting. It is the size of a human which BRS rips apart and low and behold. Inside is Sleeping Beauty Dead Master. Now I don’t get it! Wasn’t Kagari giving Yomi only the nice thing? So why did she put her into the ugly doll here then? Maybe it was some kind of reverse trick to confuse BRS?! Too bad it didn’t work!

Even BRS can’t resist the charm that is Dead Master even in her sleep and as she raises her hand to get a cope, Deja vu! She gets run over by Chariot once again but even though she had better reaction this time as she avoided getting impaled, that left her wide open to being bathed in a burf of macaroons! It starts raining macaroon on BRS while Chariot jumps ship to stay close to her dear Dead Master!

 
 

A quick shift in scene brings us back to the hospital where Kagari is going mad out of her mind because that bitch at the door won’t just shut up! Why was she doing this to her? She saw Yomi first! Yomi was hers and her alone! Why won’t she just disappear. Go away, go away go away! Or Shut Up.

Yomi can only watch on helplessly.

 
 
 


 

But just as Mato is stubbornly hanging on in the real world, BRS is not taking &*%% from anyone as she gears up and finally destroys Chariot’s monstrous nightmare. Thank the macaroons for that! I had just about had enough of them things, and I have never even eaten one before!

Not surprisingly, Chariot is not amused! She calls upon the Power of Yuri and proceeds to give BRS the personal beating she was dipping for. At that moment Dead Master wakes up from her slumber.

 

We are brought back to the hospital room where Mato dumps the knowledge she had acquired from Takanashi Mama on Yomi. She informs her of how she is the one tying Kagari down with her pity. If she doesn’t believe in Kagari then Wheels-chan will keep getting worse than she already was. Kagari of course is not amused by this all and starts to pit larva but she is silenced by Yomi.

This is yet another interesting thing about Kagari. All it takes to bring her to a stop in Yomi just mentioning her name, or even something as simple as her opening her mouth. The poor girl has it so bad that I can’t see her as an enemy anymore.

 

 
 

Back to the Ether world (yep, the scenes are changing that fast) Dead Master can’t take this stupidity no more. She juices up with some Ra power and begins to break the chains that bind her on her own. This of course breaks Chariot’s concentration who looks towards her love only for BRS to shout ‘CHANCE’ and sever Chariot’s arm off that was holding her shield then her legs.

Like, I know this is war but seriously, BRS, seriously!?!

 
 
 

Back in the real world, Yomi seems to have come to a decision. She purposefully walks over to Kagari and takes hold of her (Now kiss…or not) . She implores Kagari to leave the hospital with her, to walk away from this together. Kagari looks at Yomi like she’s lost her marbles! ‘Girl U serious? Walk? Are you trolling me? You know I can’t walk!’ But Yomi tries to break the curse on her mind by telling her how it was all just in her mind (not, her heart). She says she wants to go to school together with Kagari. She wants to be friends with Mato but she also want to be with Kagari.

Sure Yomi, collect your harem.

 


 
 
 
 


 
 
 

Kagari doesn’t see the harm in that. She seems to surrender when we are taken back to the Ether world. Damn these quick scene changes. Any way The Master finally breaks free of the chains that bound her and it is all so dramatic with the blinding light and Chariot and BRS gawking at their fabulous Mistress’ rise and everything. You do know you have just lost an arm and legs Chariot, right? As for you BRS, don’t you have a job to finish? I guess Dead Master’s awesomeness is that irresistible. Too bad the light wasn’t green! Way to fail for symbolism here dear Animators.

But with Dead Master breaking free, Chariot’s dream world  starts to crumble. She looks so sad I want to jump into the screen and give her a hug damn it! Why so kawaii?!

Just as Chariot is about to join the wreckage that is her dream pieces, guess who decides to crush the party? (Hohoho, you must be so happy Kyon). It’s the one and only BGS! Her gigantic sword cuts the scene first by blocking the black hole that was sucking everything away. BRS and Dead Master look this way and that way but the Demon is so fast (Well she has horns). In fact it seems that they can only see her if she wishes them too. She is that fast!

What she does next is take Dead Master into a different Dimension, though judging from the colour of that world, me have a feeling Dead Master will be right at home. Wait, is that the underworld? Or maybe she had taken Dead Master for herself, better yet if she is who I think she is, then she is taking DM for someone else’s sakes. Poor Dead Master, she’s like a string being pulled this way and that way. Who is she going to be a plaything for now I wonder.

Any ways even if she has just been saved, Chariot is not so amused but BGS, who gives her a ‘Problem?’ kind of look.. Wheels-chan’s love for Dead Master is that strong. Even now she is still so taken with her. Sigh, poor Chariot.

BRS gets into a fighting stance ready to take on this new nemesis only…She finds herself facing only a sword with BGS nowhere to be seen. She is so damn fast! I can’t wait for that fight. As BRS looks around in confusion, Chariot takes this opportunity to have some payback as she uses her last agility to take down BRS, even if they have to go down together. Only…

She did not! SHE SO DID NOT! BRS DID NOT JUSTS DO WHAT I THINK SHE DID!

As if to drive point home, we switch back to the real world where Mato who is standing in the corridors is startled by Yomi’s sudden screams from within. She seems to be shouting for Kagari! What in God’s name must be going on in there? Mato bangs on the door as she demands answers, which she gets, and I don’t, when everything suddenly goes eerily quiet from within then seconds later the door opens to find a glass faced Yomi standing there, who a split second later starts to tear up. Mato thinking there was something wrong with Kagari, sneaks in a look past Yomi only to find a calm Kagari hunched on the bed. She turns their way and gives them a smile.

Something major just happened and we don’t even know what the hell truly went down!

I just hope I am reading way too much into this but here goes…

Okay. First of all, Did BRS just go and decapitate Chariot! No seriously! I was ready to turn a blind eye to her cutting off Wheel’s arm and her, well, wheels, but Cutting off her head?! This was that kind of anime?! I am pretty sure the worlds are connected at a much more complicated level than just dreamland so Kagari has to have taken souvenirs from Chariot being beheaded! Leaving the gore aside, this is BRS that did the beheading for crying out loud!

My mind, it can’t get around this act!

What did Gold Saw want with Dead Master? Theory A, applied to the fact if BGS is Saya-sensei, which I am not saying is the truth, says that she is taking DM for someone else, who also this line of logic points to them being Strength! But if not, Who is BGS and what is her connection with Dead Master, since at this stage I am willing to bet Dead Master is like the string that every one is connected to and better yet, what is she trying to do with her?

On the other hand, during THE SCENE, there was all kinds of green every where so let’s slot in the chance that Dead Master had found her way back only to witness the scene! No, even if she learns of this later, what is Dead Master going to think or do to BRS when she finds out what she did to Chariot?

So much brain matter I am losing over this show. I actually watched this episode like, more than a day ago but I just couldn’t get my head around it enough to calm down and…

What’s with these huge-ass summaries of episodes? It’s not like anyone comes here without having seen the episode yet!
