I frikkin ship them so hard!

So, I stumbled upon the Bluray cover for this movie and I figured, I might as well watch it since I have nothing major planned. I had nothing to lose so I went ahead and watched it before bed last night.

Half way there I almost gave up, due to reasons to be mentioned later, but my conscious begged me to keep on going till the end and so I did.

Boy was I ever glad I saw it through. And No-No, just before you get your hopes up, as many would dismiss this just like that, so if you are looking for plated yuri, this isn’t for you.

As for myself, I so love these subtle types of relationships.

If you have come this far, I am hoping you might be thinking that I surely was only kidding. I assure you this is one of those projects that require High Settings on ur Yuri Goggles (As for myself, none were even needed but that’s just me).

To save the poor souls who are already jumping to the downloads, I have to warn you that Arisa and Xiaoyu are rivals in love (with a guy obviously) and the ‘friends’ curse word is used as well so unless you can stand that, I would suggest to wait until the end of this post to decide if you wanna waste thine bandwidth.

With that warning out of the way, let’s get back to business.

The story begins (somewhat) with Xiaoyu transferring to a new school. She’s on a mission to get close to a target that is wanted by the major three organisations. Things get interesting upon her arrival there. It’s like the writers weren’t even trying to hide the hints at the mixed messages they are sending our way.

Bare with me as I break it down for you…

1. The Meeting

At the new school, it’s a cultural festival and Xiaoyu is wandering around trying to figure out how to get close to her target. She thinks if many ways like stumbling into him around the corner like in those love comedies. As she is laughing at the ridiculousness of the thought, that’s exactly what happens. She crushes into someone at a corner but not the target.

It’s a girl. A girl I thought might be an angel or something because her beauty was way off the scale and she was glowing too. Only to realise that was not the case. Only in Xiaoyu’s POV was the girl glowing while in third person, she looked just like ay other….

Xiaoyu seems kinda disappointed but her eyes don’t lie, as the follow the figure of an ange- the girl run away.

I mean, seriously! What kind of meeting is that?! it had ‘destiny’ stamped all over it.

After that, the two get to meet again and bond as love rivals after Xiaoyu saves her target from attempted suicide (Yep, the guy has major issues).

And of course what’s love without some good old ‘beat some lovin’ into you’? Every other couple is done it. Chikane and Himeko as prime example. Mai and Mikoto (Or Shizuru and Natsuki to those who prefer) also beat each other lovely. Dead Master and BRS too and many many more.

And really, this is TEKKEN FFS!!

Anyways, turns out Arisa is a robot and her master also wants the target so the two turn into real enemies. Arisa attacks Xiaoyu and after her cover is blown, she goes back to base but contractor commands her to go back and ‘take care of the robot’.

Pfft. Bitch doesn’t know what love is, obviously.

Xiaoyu sends a challenge to Arisa, who agrees and the two duke it out. Arisa wins and as it looks like she’s about to finish Xiaoyu off, she stops!

Sweet Jesus girl! I though U were a machine?!

Just as I was rejoicing and looking forward to makeup sex, In flies Xiaoyu’s contractor who proceeds to take down Arisa.

Thankfully an unmentionable comes to their rescue.

When target is captured and Arisa and Xiaoyu are at the dorms, the inevitable girl-bonding commences. They talk about how their stupid love crush is no longer human and what not (people want him for some immortal gene that was implanted into his body – though he didn’t turn out to be so immortal kukuku, but more on this later). Any ways, the girls talk while Arisa charges (Man, I instantly forget she’s a robot.) And…

OMG! Xiaoyu with hair free is so…hanyaaa

The day’s events have taken a their toll on Xiaoyu and she soon falls asleep…On Arisa’s thighs! The skins she says feels like a warm refrigerator! I know not what this means but it somehow seems legit!

Arisa petting Xiaoyu’s head  and then carrying her, bridal style, to bed was just…Hiiiiiiiiiiiii

PS: I still can’t get over wet Xiaoyu only in a towel!

 

Now they are flying?!!! Okay, can this get any more romantic?!!

But just minutes after Xiaoyu is put to sleep, the dorm is invaded but the girls escape in time thanks to Arisa’s magical devices.

Okay, two stages down…this one though, this next one was a killer for me.

First of all sorry if the caps are a lot but I wanted to showcase Xiaoyu’s determination.

Okay, so Arisa and Xiaoyu go to their crush’s rescue only he went there on purpose and it seems he is looking for death (well, taking the dude responsible for his misery with him)! Things don’t go as planned though and the Master does quick (kind of joke really how short he lasted in that fight) work on him and off to ever ever land he goes.

Yep, the love interest (that I thought would be the hero actually) was done in just like that! My face could not stop splitting in a grin!

[Insert epic 3-way fight here]

Arisa’s master and another dude (The master-Weird beard guy of tekken world, having been defeated, for now) are the only ones left and Arisa’s master-Jin (might as well) is getting his ass handed to him. Arisa goes in to save him but the dud shuts her down and the enemy takes the chance to break her into scraps while she’s immobile! (Like WTF dude!?! I know she’s a robot and all but she was just laying there FFS!!!)

This happens right in front of Xiaoyu’s wide eyes who breaks down in so much tears I was shocked!! Where were those tears when the guy she supposedly had a crush on was done in?! I don’t remember seeing her shed even one.

Not that I give a frack! Nope!

Even though I was sad that Arisa was in scraps, I couldn’t help the smile of triumph in the fact that she kinda won Xiaoyu.

Then as Arisa’s Master went all Super Saiyan and the battles went into the ridiculous levels of games that tekken is, saw Xiaoyu spending the fight time running for her life all the while not letting go of Arisa’s top remains.

I was so moved by this simple fact I can’t even….Just when I thought surely she’s gonna leave the robot scraps and get to safety faster, she did no such thing!

But wait, that was not all. Just as she ran out of stamina to go on, Xiaoyu cried for the unfairness of it all and as her tear fell and onto Arisa…Guess what happened!

Yep! Arisa came to life and assisted in finishing off the bad guy with her double flying punches. Even when she’s in scraps she’s still doing her best for Xiaoyu…

Sniffs

Xiaoyu finally comes to the conclusion that this time Arisa was done for and my heart bled for her as she begged for Arisa to wake up in tears.

I too had even gave up hope but the Arisa’s master appears and speaks the magic words.

Awaken from standby mode

She was in standby mode all this time?!!!

Ah, to hell with it. I was just so happy to care!

The smile they shared as the skies cleared at the end of it all was just heart warming I…

Sigh

And finally…

5. Just The Two Us

 
  
 
 

The Ending finds the girls all alone having fun (and ice cream) at the park.

Date? Hell yes!

The two are discussing about entering one tekken tournament together!

BTW, Since Arisa’s master went of to hibernate until someone strong enough defeats him (he no longer is human) this means that Arisa is now living with Xiaoyu.

Win? Fuck Yeah!
