The majority who follow the news ( I am in the minority who don’t. In fact I would probably not know there was war until a bomb dropped through my roof!) might already know of yesterday’s happenings in Ireland.

From the early hours of morning to night it rained non-stop. So much rain that surpassed a few month’s worth actually.

Naturally, when nature strikes, humanity suffers and we are no different. But I won’t go into the details as I just wanna talk about how this affected me personally.Don’t panic though as I was actually positively affected by this, thank the gods…

My home being on the sloppy side of a hill, I was saved from swimming in my sleep and thus was able to attend college. There lies the happenings.

This is what went down at college today.

1. One half of the faculty could not be opened (to reasons I did not find out) so all classes in those building were suspended for the day and possibly tomorrow too. I have two classes in there tomorrow morning which means no morning classes for me.

2. Our business Management professor ditched us (that’s right) for a new teacher who’s first day was supposed to be today. As luck would not have it, she lives in the now watery part of Dublin so she could not make it.

3. Our timetable was given a complete make over with change of classes and teachers. Our next classes that were by a teacher who is out sick were room changed so when we got to the new rooms, shit was messed up as the class that was previously occupying that class didn’t know of the changes (hurr…) Two free classes before lunch which gave us four free hours (The class before break being Business).

4. After going home then coming back for afternoon classes, guess what happens…The teacher we had for a double afternoon couldn’t make it as well. Though I wanted to be angry at this, I couldn’t deny the happiness of free afternoon so I let it go.

5. As if to mock us, the skies today were such a deep blue with the sun shining brightly up ahead, that it was all so beautifully sickening. The last time we saw the sun was last Thursday FCOL as the clouds covered everything until they decided to fall all over yesterday all at once.

Honestly, what a day!
