Even more secrets.

Picking up from where we left off, Haru is still dragging Miwa across town and soon stop as Miwa-chan is tired of the silence. She asks what the big deal is since it was only a tattoo. Haru answers that he just got so pissed off. he couldn’t understand why Miwa-chan could think of doing such a thing to her beautiful body. Miwa-chan burst out that it’s because she too is improper!

You know, I should’ve seen the signs but I guess i was in denial.

There seems to be more to Miwa-chan than Haru knew and he says that he hates secrets. Miwa-chan says that isn’t it fine to keep secrets? After all, Haru too has to have some.  Secrets have fucked up Haru’s life more times than he could mention and so he says he is going to tell Miwa-chan his life’s secret.

And he does. He tells Miwa-chan that he is IS and even goes into detailed explanations. Miwako doesn’t look that shocked though for some reason but Haru doesn’t notice.

And once again I should’ve seen the signs!

Miwa-chan smiles beautifully at Haru after the explanation and she thanks Haru for telling her that big of a secret. Haru is taken aback that Miwa-chan wasn’t that disturbed to which she says that she was just too happy that Haru could trust her to tell her such a great secret. Haru says that he isn’t brave enough yet but that soon he would love to tell everyone about himself.

Miwa-chan casts the spell of secrecy by crossing their pinkies and swears to never tell anyone else about it – Haru-chan. Haru stops her right there. He doesn’t like it when he is called ~chan when he considers himself a man. They settle on Miwa-chan calling him Haru – just Haru.

The two shyly smile at each other once again!

When Miwa-chan gets home, Mama is waiting for her. Miwa’s phone probably had over 100 missed calls from her.

Totally creepy~

Having been in a club, Miwa-chan smells of smoke and mama thinks that she had been smoking. An argument breaks out and there is just too much drama that I will skip. Needless to say, they don’t part on good terms.

Next day, Haru’s body is at breaking point and he collapses in pain. His hormones are at war still inside his body. he is turning more into a girl as he is forced to wear layers upon layers of t-shirts inside his uniform to conceal his growing breasts.

Like, you know he would die first before he is seen in a bra, man.

Meanwhile at the Aihara residence, Miwa-chan wakes up in high spirits all ready to meet Haru and looking infinitely happy about it. She Looks in the mirror first…

But as she gets to open the door to her room, it can’t seem to open. What is the world is going on?!

At school, Haru bumps into (not literally, thank the gods) Dick (his name from now on) and the two seem to strike up this vomi-inducing atmosphere and Dick finally invites Haru to a soccer game. Haru is very happy of course since he loves soccer more than anything. Haru thanks the guy because he talked to Haru like a guy and not a girl. Haru gives him this big smile that he so doesn’t deserve. I mean, he called Haru weird after all.

I wanna hurl!

Back to Miwa-chan, there is this huge ass lock on the other side of her door. Mama is standing right there as well. Miwa-chan begs for her to open up but her cries fall on deaf ears. She won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

At school, Haru is still not comfortable with the girls and still changes her uniforms in the girls’ restrooms.

At night, Miwa-chan is still locked in her room and is there looking all sad like caged and whipped puppy. In other words, Miwa-chan spent the whole day locked up in her room.

Damn you Mama from hell!

The next day at school, Haru is looking all sad, totally missing his waifu to be Miwa-chan. The friends notice to which he says  that he has been trying to get into contact with Miwa-chan but to no avail. The friends seem to know about Miwako (which are probably rumours) as they warn Haru to stay away from her. Apparently Miwa-chan is a lesbian!

Fuck you Four Eyes. Somehow this accusation on Miwa-chan made me angry. Thanks to Karate girl for giving 4eyes a noogy for that!

When a TV show throws this word about I always go on alert!

Just at that moment, Haru gets a text from Miwa-chan telling him that her Mom had her locked up in her room. Haru immediately dashes over to the Aihara residence all ready to  do with the rescue of his princess.

But when he gets there, it’s Miwako who unexpectedly greets him at the door. Expectedly, Haru is lost and when Miwa-chan takes up his hand and intertwines their pinkies saying that it was only a test to see of Haru would actually come to her rescue, I couldn’t get angry at Haru for pulling away and displaying his displeasure at being mocked.

Though when Miwa-chan’s smile fell soon after like butter under a red-hot knife…well…

Evil Mama comes into the picture and apologises to Haru for her daughter’s misfits making out Miwa-chan a sick person. She sends Miwako to her room and after being so obviously rubbed off by Haru, she resignedly leaves.

I wanted to wrangle something seeing that look on Miwa-chan’s face. damn it all!

And as expected Haru feels somewhat bad for it and can’ seem to get Miwa-chan off his mind. And so he does the only thing that could help him. He calls out his childhood friend, the first person she ever told her secret to, and they go to play some kick ball. But this friend of Haru’s is such a nice guy…

Hopefully not too nice! I am keeping my eye on you.

Any ways, he is such a nice guy that he knows something is up and forces Haru to spill. Turns out that Haru is worried that Miwa-chan is skipping school because she couldn’t handle Haru’s secret after all. Also seeing the suspicious way Miwa-chan’s mother was acting, he thinks that Miwa-chan might have told on her.

How dare you Haru! You dare diss the power of a pinky promise! You dare doubt your waifu to be!!

Son, I am disappoint!

Back at the Aihara home, mother and daughter are having some family fun.

Yeah right!

Miwa-chan is looking so sad and miserable as her mother gives her medicine and pampers her like a stupid doll. Miwako is not pleased by this treatment as we see her ripping her clothes into shreds and crying out in despair.

I literally had a handkerchief between my teeth trying real hard not to cry out in a sea of emotions.

Back to Haru, they have just finished watching the game with Dick and once again they go into this world of theirs fan-boy-ing over their favourite soccer player. Dick brags on how he has DVDs of all his games and Haru being Haru, immediately asks to come over so he could watch it.

Like, couldn’t you just ask Dick to lend the DVD to you? I am sure I saw a DVD player in your house!

Dick being the dick he is, is kinda taken aback seeing as he thinks Haru a girl. Despite the warnings, Haru goes to his home anyways. dad is supposed to be home so they are safe any ways, right?

Wrong. The once I thought is nice Dad receives a shady call and has to leave as soon as Haru and Dick get home.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU….Oh wait! this is actually good

As Haru goes through the DVD box, a photo flies out from within. a photo of a young boy and girl sitting on a bench in a park somewhere. Haru excitedly asks if the boy in the picture was Dick. Dick…

Oh Dick…

Dick dives at the photo with a speed that leaves Haru sitting there with a stupefied look on his face.

Thank you for baring your fangs Dick!

Dick tries to apologise but is ignored by Haru who enthusiastically watches the game with a silent Dick sitting there looking like the stupid oaf he is. But of course the DVD can’t play forever and when it ends, Dick strikes again and Haru says that everyone has secrets so if Dick doesn’t want to tell him, it’s totally fine!

That’s my Haru, he is such a nice guy!

Dick having been touched by the speech, sees this as the best time to embrace Haru from behind all in that stupid slow-mo ‘n’ shit!

Have some restraints you dick! How dare you try to get fresh with Miwa-chan’s Haru?!

Haru barks at him and immediately bolts for the exit!

Haru you smart boy! *wipes tears away*

Dick runs after Haru to try and regain his humanity by apologising. Haru says that he wanted them to get along as guy friends and Dick says some sugary speech about how he would never do such a think again and how it mattered not whether Haru was a boy or a girl.

And sadly, though it makes no sense to me, Haru seems to have been pulled in by the ‘it doesn’t matter if you are a boy or a girl’ line and so he forgives Dick!

At that moment, Haru’s mind goes back to Miwa-chan once again! He thinks of the strange behaviour of Miwa-chan’s and seems to have come to a conclusions. he tell Dick that he has to go and runs off.

Thank you God in heaven! I didn’t know how long I could hold on before throwing up!

Miwa-chan at that moment is standing all bare in front of her window! Her mother rushes over and wraps her into her blankets. She demands what Miwa-chan was doing to which she answers that what did it matter if people saw her?! She was already false goods!

My eye brows are disappearing!

Mother breaks down saying that giving birth to Miwa-chan was her punishment for the miscarriage of the first unborn daughter! Miwako is broken by those hurtful words.

Bitch, you didn’t! You fukken didn’t!

The words having completely shattered Miwa-chan, she decides to commit suicide by wrist-cut.

Thankfully Haru had been running for his life to get to the Aihara house having put the two and two together to get a WTF four. Miwa-chan had been asking for his help with all her weird actions but when he gets to Miwa-chan’s home, her mother greets him and tells him that Miwa-chan isn’t home.

They are interrupted by a ‘*thudding* noise from upstairs and Haru wastes no time forcing his way through and running up to Miwa-chan’s room. mother runs after him and they both freeze in their tracks at what they see.

Lying there in a puddle of her own blood is Miwa-chan. Her wrist is cut and she seems unconscious. Haru runs over to her and lifts her up into his arms. he yells at mother dearest to call for an ambulance.

Haru calls for Miwa-chan to wake up and when she does, this is what she says…

“Me too…” 
“I am the same…”
”I am IS too!”

The end!

Thoughts;

That’s one WHAM line right there at the end! Miwa-chan is IS to?! I mean, I suspected way back in episode one during that conversation at the park under the cherry blossoms but still.

Somehow I am not happy that Miwa-chan is IS too. I am having even more doubts now. You see, Japan is strange when it comes to IS/transsexuals/shemales/etc…You even see it in porn. They just don’t seem to be into IS/IS even as twisted as Japan is. And so the possibilities just went below 10%. Now it is only up to the directors to see if they will go a different route perhaps.

Sigh.

Why couldn’t they keep it at simple as Haru/girl VS Haru/boy? No, seriously, why?!!!

Well, I might be overthinking things and IS/IS will be much better choice than IS/other but really!

Well, I can get comfort in knowing that Dick will never handle seeing Haru naked, what with a little elephant trunk under there too. I know, but still.

Now I am more curious what kind of IS Miwa-chan is! She was obviously brought up as a girl as opposed to Haru as a boy…Wait, this might actually be good!

As for Dick, I was getting sick with all the nice image he was receiving and even though his fangs aren’t that sharp, yet, I take some comfort in knowing that Haru has some misgivings about him now, at least I think he has. And his father seems shady as well! I hope there is even more dirt on Dick.
