Enter Miwako’s room, the Cock-Block and other support character.
Things pick up with Haru telling her family all about the sudden bloody accident at school. Since Haru has never been given ‘the talk’ by his parents seeing as they thought of him as a guy all this time, Haru found himself at a loss when he was helped out by Miwa-chan. She had an extra packet of pads on her which she gave to Haru but Haru didn’t have a clue what to do with them! Haru says that Miwako ‘helped’ her out!
Oh great! Now I am imagining Miwako kneeling in front of Haru with his pants down. Bloody Hell!
As expected, Haru’s imouto-chan (little sister) makes much fun of him about it. These two are actually quite cute and bring out the bro/sis interactions quite on the mark.
The sad look on Little sister’s face when Haru leaves for school made me go “Aww”
At school, Miwako meets Haru by the lockers and Haru hands her pads he got from his sister to replace the ones she had borrowed the day before.
There is this moment where they smile at each other and just stand there in awkward embarrassment for some reason.
I bet you they were thinking back to last evening when Miwako helped Haru in the rest rooms! What the hell happened?!!
They talk as they head for their classes but when they separate to go their separate ways, Miwako’s smile disappears as soon as Haru turns her back and walks away.
My ‘crazy lesbian’ alarm starts going off right here.
We are introduced to more characters who might be appearing regularly in Haru’s class. The one that grabbed my attention most was Japan’s Own Karate Kid Takeda Rina. She has belts under her karate career and you might remember her in High Kick Girl and it’s sequel/prequel/au Karate Girl. Her character as expected is spot on as the wild rose of the bunch and acts like the manly girl she is.
Then there is the groupie that instantly declare themselves Haru’s buddies and their enthusiasm is what first got on my nerves. The other thing is…well…soon.
Miwako on the other hand seems to be alone and without friends. At lunch time, as Haru walks off being dragged by her new friends to eat together outside, Miwako is there waiting for Haru. She asks Haru if he wants them to eat lunch together and Haru immediately ditches the groupies and heads off with Miwako to eat together in the gym. Miwako blinds Haru with her bright grateful smile.
I find it strange that Miwako has trouble making friends when we look back to her first meeting with Haru. I thought she would be one of those girls that got along well with what with all her family’s social standing but alas.
Also, Miwako as she fidgeted in the corridor asking Haru to eat lunch together was just so ‘hanyan’. I swear these two act like boyfriend/girlfriend.
But of course this is drama and as such, Haru starts feeling bad as she eats lunch. It doesn’t seem to be too serious so she dismisses it.
Afterschool, Haru can’t resist her love for soccer so she visits the play grounds. Her Doctor forbade her from playing body straining sports as an alternative to taking female hormones. Seems like the two male and female hormones in her body are out of whack and only one can be dominant but Haru draws the line at losing his heart to the female side as well.
He seems to prefer the boy side but his body has other plans. I say to this – ‘Hell Yes!’
At the playgrounds, as he watches the guys play soccer and feeling like breaking, the ball flies towards her. Haru tries to control it by first absorbing the momentum with her chest but it was a big mistake. Pain hit and she collapses…and into the arms of the soccer captain called Dude!
Yes yes, I know his name but to hell with that. And here begins the hair pulling. No, seriously, when a guy that nice is introduced you just know things are already not going your-the yuri – way.
When Haru comes to, the first thing he sees is Miwako’s worried face that soon breaks out into one of those smiles again.
Thank you God! Thank you it wasn’t the Dude that was waiting for Haru by the bed instead!
Loved that the camera began from their hands with Miwako’s softly holding Haru’s.
Good job guyz! Please keep this up!
They are broken up though soon after by Haru’s homeroom teacher as she sends both the Nurse and Miwako away so she could talk to Haru alone. Among the few people in school who knows of Haru’s secret is her but while she acts like she cares, that scene in the first episode when she pulled away from Haru as if burnt makes Haru warily of her.
I too already labelled her as a bitch in my book! I won’t be deceived by your smiles lady!
As Haru leaves the school, he is startled by Miwako jumping out of hiding as she was waiting for him so they could go home together! On the way they get even more acquainted by exchanging mail addresses and Miwako inviting Haru to her home. before they part, Miwako asks Haru if they are friends to which Haru confirms that they indeed are. They part with more smiles.
Note that this is the second time Miwako has asked if she and Haru are friends. This doesn’t bode well believe me. I’ve got experience. And so my hairs grow even more on edge.
Later evening Haru arrives at Miwako’s house. He is blown away by the size of it even though he expected just as much seeing as Miwako lived in the richer part of town. Miwako is just so happy that he actually came and the two enjoy CAKE as Haru gets to meet the parents.
Haru is left in wonder by the seemingly very happy Aihara family but one could clearly sense the lies that lay beneath. The drama wastes no time is revealing some of it when Haru is taken up to see Miwa-chan’s room and Aihara Papa and Mama are left alone to bare their rotting flesh!
Haru is impressed by Miwa-chan’s room and starts drawing lines that separate the rich and the poor. Miwa-chan on the other hand really seems happy to have Haru over and not wanting to waste the moment, she get a photo of the both of them together.
Though really, Miwa-chan’s face seems to be stuck in a smile whenever she is with Haru.
Back downstairs as they eat dinner, Haru gets the DOWNS as he realises the wide gap between the Aihara family and his. Miwa-chan noticing this loses her smile but Haru assures her that he is fine.
The following day, Miwa-chan doesn’t go to school and lonely Haru notices. After school, he receives a text from her asking him to meet her at one club ‘FAKES’. Haru doesn’t even waste time in first stopping at her place to change out of uniform before he rushes over.
Miwa-chan meets him on the dance floor and the two walks over to talk to the barman. As they wait for the man to get ready the things he needs, Miwa-chan gives Haru the speech about how she loves people like the bar-man who don’t judge or meld other people’s lives.
Haru and my own senses starts tingling. uh oh, something is abound!
The barman gestures for them to follow him out in the back room. Miwa-chan says she’s scared to go alone so she asks Haru to accompany her. Haru being the good boy that he is, escorts Miwa-chan to the back.
Miwako it turns out is getting a tattoo. She continues to reveal to Haru that her life wasn’t all roses as Haru thought it to be and the conflicting emotions of Haru’s face are quite visible.
All the while the barman is getting ready to start cutting into Miwa-chan’s arm and embed a rose-pattern tattoo into the perfect flesh. As she speaks, Miwa-chan’s eyes never leave Haru as if she expects to see something in there. Haru on the other hand is finding it difficult to keep the eye contact with the sudden changes Miwa-chan.
Just as the barman brings that machine to start curving, Haru’s nerves snap and shouts for him to stop. The barman immediately stops and Haru walks over to pull his Miwa-chan away and out of the damned club. All the while, Miwa-chan’s eyes never left Haru’s face!
Haru never lets go of Miwa-chan’s arm even kilometres away from the club.
The ep ends here as Haru drags Miwako away by the arm and into the nigh!
Final thoughts;
I fuckken jumped with joy when Haru got pissed and pulled Miwa-chan away from that club! I was so happy I almost cried! Haru was so pissed at Miwa-chan even thinking of ruining her perfect skins that he loved so much.
This episode was even better than the first one where Haru/Miwa-chan is concerned. Miwa-chan smiled so much in this episode I almost lost count. Haru just seems to make her that much happy.
And then there is those moments between the two that just melts the heart.
In such a goodies filled episode, what I loved most has to be the last scene of course at the club. the eye holding then Haru running away with Miwa-chan….Sigh, it was like a wedding when Haru bursts into the church to object and running away with Bride Miwa-chan!
Oh Gods!
IS, ladies and gentlemen.

Thanks for your wonderful writing. Your ideas/ notices are what I concerned/noted or have not yet noted. it’s so useful. But up till now, even I saw ep 7, I believe Miwa-chan has more feeling than 1 “same kind” friend with Haru.

hey savingface (love the name by the way. it wouldn’t have anything to do with that certain movie now, would it? ^_^). First, thank you for visiting and commenting.
And yeah, I already saw it way earlier but Miwa-chan really does feel strongly for Haru.
Too bad Haru is kinda…
She even told haru to his face for crying out loud and what was Haru’s reaction?!

yes, saving face the movie touched me so much and it made me braver for understanding & approving who am I. Thanks for your quick reply me 🙂
I look for ep 7 nearly one week with the language I know nothing about it :D. It touched me so much with the way Miwo chan cry. (it look like a child, I dont see the actress on it, I see the true feeling on that moment, Thanks Miwo chan). It touched me once I have Eng Sub, ” I love you” I dont believe in my eyes. I think maybe the translator who use “love” for sth like “like” or “very respect”.. etc. I look like go on crazy.. I try to listen to find the final answer, and I think I hear “daisuki”. It’s surely “love”
This movie shocked me alot. The way they are talking about is similar with les movies topics. Thanks alot for my suddenly chance in finding this movie

Yup. Gouriki Ayame (Miwa-chan) is a great actress and she is totally believable in IS especially in that scene!
I really hope that Haru finally understands Miwako’s real feelings by the end of the drama because otherwise, it would just be so sad!
I think this drama is going to be on my favourite list of dramas too!
And daisuki is always = Love or Really like. suki = like. But in this specific context, there is no doubt that Miwa-chan meant ‘love’ after all we’ve seen!
Thanks again for the comments.
Also, episode 8 today! Woo Hoo~

Yep.
And we are not really exactly the same as London as every twice a year, the clock goes back and forward one hour respectively.
