“Would you like a cup of tea?” – Darek
“You are inferior. You will be replaced by a new race of Dareks. You must now descend.” – Supreme Darek.
” I obey! You are superior.” – Darek
“Descend…And prepare to be exterminated.” – Supreme Darek
“I obey. I obey. I obeeeeeeey!” – Darek

Yes, you guessed it. I am a Doctor Who fag (BTW, My favorite is the 10th Doctor – Tenant) and I gotta say that I was totally blown away by this special festival/orchestra/theatrical performance.
It felt like I was there in the audience despite just watching it on my PC. The music was super awesome and the atmosphere….
When the monster started making their way into the audience I felt the suspense as if they would come alive and all hell would break loose.
Now I know why they didn’t introduce the Weeping Angels during the actual show (They only showed them in the intro).
I guess it was too extreme even if it weren’t real. Sitting in that dark theatre despite the number of people present wouldn’t help the tension of turning your back away from a weeping angel. Real or not. Aren’t they real anyway? I mean the ones in the show are stone as are the ones in the real world.
Then the New Darek’s Supreme threatened the orchestra to play the Dareks’ theme. It was super awesome. You could see people in the audience wetting their undies!

I should know. I was an Island away yet I too was kind of afraid!
Anyway, it was mainly about the latest reincarnation of The Doctor and the music used throught the show.

They showed all the reincarnations of The Doctor from first to latest and a good few moments of season 5 of the new Doctor series. And though people have obviously seen it already, maybe a couple of times, when they showed the transformation from 10th to 11th Doctor, people in the audience still shed tears. I should know, I did too!
I loved the music. I loved that the people got to meet their favorite villains, even though the Weeping Angels were forgotten and they were the most thrilling villains of season 5 IMHO.
The Cybermen making their entrance was awe-evoking as well. The sound their boots make when they walk is a thriller!

All of the villains of season five came including the vampire girls (hurrr).

I would’ve liked to see what they did specifically for the Weeping Angels! I bet there would’ve been tears.
The 11th Doctor did make an appearance (obviously) and even acted out a small problem solving drama. So did Amy and her boyfriend with a girlie name who is actually a Cyberman in disguise who actually did kill her (I loved this part) but viola, The Doctor is a HAX so she lives on!
The Doctor Who theme was the finale as expected.
All in all, this was awesome!
